Dh and I work at the same place. He texts, asks how my day is going, what's going on and such. I tell him. And he proceeds to tell me what I should be doing about a situation. One - I didn't ask for advice. Two - I know how to do my job. You asked what was going on. I told you. Cripes, I didn't ask for help I was telling you what was going on and don't tell me what I should be doing based on the little bit if info I text. We're both functioning on little sleep because the kids & him are sick but ughghhhh.

It's a man thing. DH does it too and I constantly remind him, "I am only venting, when I want your advice on how to handle the situation, then I will let you know".

But it just sounds like it's annoying you, since you're tired and operating on little sleep. But I do get your irritation. Smile

Mine and I are going through this one now, so you're not alone! I managed to train my ex that the only things to say when I'm bitching about work are either, everything's going to be okay, or, I love you. Anything else was asking to make me crazy! FDH isn't as trainable, so we're having a rougher go of it as I get in to my new (fabulous! But stressful) job.

OH gosh, my DH does this ALL THE TIME.

We do the same type of job - different places but basically the same thing - he is always telling me HOW to do my job. I am capable DH - that is why they pay me as much as they pay you - DUH - I don't tell him how to do his job... Maybe I should start.

I am a SAHM now and DH owns a company. A few times I felt he butted in where I didn't want him. I told him this: How would you feel if I showed up at YOUR work and starting giving orders to you and your employees? Not good, so stay out of my business.

He keeps his mouth shut now!
