You and DH got divorced, he got back with BM, and BM became a SM to your kids? I have. I know there's not a snowball's chance in he11 of that happening because DH can't stand BM and wouldn't put any kid within a million feet of her.

I agree with Maux. Leaving the country and getting a new identity is really the only way. Biggrin

I don't have children of my own yet, but the thought "what if DH and I broke up, and he got back with BM??" has definitely crossed my mind...numerous times. Sad

Whenever I have that thought (we don't have children together either), I laugh and laugh and laugh. What good payback for all the years of sh*t I have endured. They'd be perfect for eachother. Total nightmares!!!

My mom already said that if I die she will take my daughter to a foriegn country, my sister agreed to take her kids and go with her to raise my daughter. I love my DH but I know he would be overwhelmed and turn to MIL, that woman is not allowed any part in raising my daughter. As for divorce I would just leave the country myself, he had really bad taste in women before I came along, they were all like his mother so I don't trust who would be around my kid.

I have had this 'what if I die first' thought just recently! I need to talk to my mom about taking DS to a foreign country too! Lol! My DH is a good person but is stupid when it comes to some things. And I don't let MIL babysit now so I wouldn't want her to if I was dead either!

This horrifying thought has crossed my mind a few times as well. I would flee the US to a country that does not abide by the Hague Convention on International abductions.

Either that or kill them both }:) . I'd rather spend life in prison that have that vile human being anywhere near my kids.

The thought of that is enough to give me nightmares :sick:

Well.... my daughter is 15 and I don't ever see that happening, but if it did :(, I actually would be fine with her as the SM. My daughter likes to go over to her house now, even when SD is not there visiting; she's always been welcome there and well liked. Of all the women I know, she'd probably be my choice. I've been lucky with her, besides a few annoying things, but she has been really nice and fair and supportive for over 8 years now.
That said, I would be very upset and sad and confused...

I have decided not to adopt with FH but I have dogs who may as well be my children. (Don't judge the crazy infertile lady with her herd of dogs. We ALL bite! Blum 3 ) If we split up FH would want to share custody of the dogs because both he and the skids are very attached to them. The thought of my pups being looked after by that horrible woman is enough to give me nightmares. She killed over an elderly collie that they had - backed out of the driveway without looking and ran over him in front of the children. Poor dog! That woman is not fit to open their bag of Beggin' Strips!!!!! }:)

OMG...are you sure it wasn't a cocker spaniel??? Our BM ran over DH's dog (he ADORED that dog) in front of him and the skids. She also ran over one of SD's cats. She's an animal lover, so I don't THINK it was on purpose, but you never know...

Don't feel bad. I have no bio-kids. I have two cats (even worse, I'm an old, dried up cat lady) who are my babies. I hate to even admit this, but I have more maternal feelings for them than I do for my skids. (hanging head in shame)

So sorry to hear about your spaniel and cat! I have heard of so many BMs running over pets. I don't know if it is because they are TRYING to kill them or just can't freakin' DRIVE but pets are not safe around them!

I also have more maternal feelings for my puppies than for my skids. Why wouldn't I? My dogs are happy to see me, give me endless love and affection, and rarely BITE each other - total opposite of the skids!!! }:)
