O/T for those of you who own macs

I'm thinking about getting a Mac. I've never had one before. However, my old Dell laptop died and I decided I'd like to try a Mac. Mostly, I am looking for something that has enough space to store my extensive music collection. Which Mac would you recommend? Thanks.

Space is just that, space. How much space are you talking? You can always add more with an external drive, if needed, but more than likely any Mac you purchase will have more than enough.

Are you looking for a laptop or desktop?

I would STRONGLY recommend you buy from Apple website on the refurbished link.....they have the same warranty as new ones and are quite a bit less money.

I'm very happy with mine. Oh I have the iMac desktop 27 in.

I have a Macbook Pro and LOVE it. MY DH is obsessed with Macbooks and convinced me to get this last year even though I didn't mind my old Thinkpad, but this is night and day from it. It never crashes! Anyway, DH just gave SD20 his old Macbook (after putting in a new hybrid solid-state hard-drive so it's got lots of memory and runs lightning fast) and bought himself a refurbished Macbook Pro for himself. Like Hatecopycats said, buying refurbished directly from Apple is a great way to go if you want to save a couple hundred dollars.
