I am so excited about our trip to Florida!

My SO is an OCD fruit cake when it comes to packing-I typically prefer to pack last minute whereas his packing MUST be done WELL in advance. To keep the peace and to avoid all sorts of stressful drama, packing has commenced.

Last year BM Nasty claimed the Skids were scared “shitless” of me because I sent them with outfits that didn’t clash or look goofy (I know…heaven forbid, they matched!) so, this year, SD7 is selecting all of her own attire for her 4.5 days with her mom while I have chosen clothes that match for her time with us. She actually made a point to tell me “I know this doesn’t go together but I’m going to wear it with my mom!”…I of course, smiled and told her to have fun with that. SS8 doesn’t want to look goofy and has told me that I need to help him match his clothes…no problem there. We now have 2 cases packed for them-one that stays with us and the other goes with BM Nasty.

We purchased new DS games to keep the Skiddo’s busy for our 16 hour drive and they are now excited about Disney. SD is looking forward to Cinderella’s castle and SS is already nagging me about Pirate stuff.

The next few days will be full with trips to the library, park and pool.

The teenage SD’s have of course been nagging at SO but he’s taking it in stride. I’m proud of how he’s dealing with them!
