Must Share
So I have to share with everyone about this story, since in the beginning I would rant about my DH, Exwife. According to their divorce decree, my DH is to pay her $750 a month on CS. Based on his military pay. However during that time period he was medically discharged from the service for ptsd, tbi phase 2, sleep apnea, borderline being deaf, his bck frmed scoliosis, and 5% of his brain is gone from being blown up. ...so when he was released he filed for disability through the military. It took 6 months to hear back. {my DH is a ten yr veteran, rating 80%)
So during that time period, him and his exwife came up with a mutual verbal/text message agreement to pay what ever he can afford. Now down in the south, if you have all those problems its hard to get back on your feet and get a job. Especially when you are labeled a liability. Down in the South its more labor work then anything. Even though she had a mutual agreement and he moved on... she felt that she needed to bug him or put a guilty trip on him because she filed the divorce.. to be exact a dear john letter while he deployed because she was seeing another solider. (who actually ended up leaving her after she filed the divorce) Back to the story. For the past year she would blow up his phone I dont understand why you moved on without me... yadda yadda ...
When we tried being friends.. all of us with her because of their kids. She said to us, I have always wanted my life to be like the Reba show..
Yeah okay.. See where that landed us.. Anyways, she moved without DH's permission about 3 hours north from us. She still has yet to give us an address.. as 8 months ago by. Over the summer.. she flaunted and called my husband to come party with her.. Still want him back attitude. Finally, I think she got the hint...But then we recvd a letter in the mail that she filed for CS. My DH is upset, because he is trying to make ends meet. Which he ended up getting a job end of 2013 for electrical engineer company. I was so proud of him. We finally moved out of the in-laws was able to start us.
He had been making half of what he was supposed to be the court order. But again, they both agreed on it. She filed, my DH had gotten laid off because of no work -- contractor. I told him to contact CS to see if it could be modified. Well, Idk what my DH did, if he did or not. I am not his babysitter. I only tell him to do it once and write it down. If he doesn't thats his loss.. (how I feel)
But we got a letter in the mail stating they were going to take 14,000 out for back CS in taxes. Now, he got on the phone with his exwife and flew the cook. He told her that he needed to go talk to them and get it taken care of or he was getting a lawyer involved for not following the decree.
She went to the CS office last week... Told them, that she wasn't being honest when she filed the paper work. Originally, told CS that he hasn't paid anything since the decree. She said to them that he has been paying such and suck a month... They told her that my DH can pay what he is paying now to them, and they will not take out of taxes or garnish wadges. They told her for lying to them, she can sign and form stating that she can no longer file CS through the system and she would need to come off all help (govt assistance/food stamps/medicaid) or whatever CS deducts from his payments is all she gets. She cannot increase it. She was like, I cannot do that. I cannot afford to live without help.
My DH finally told her never to call me again asking for money. Since you filed through the CS system, that is the only way you are ever going to get any money. Then she had the nerve to say well if you get extra and you would like to send it to me you can. He was like Uh No.
It feels soo good to see her finally "go away" about money.
Now, I feel in a couple of months she will find another way to blow up his phone... However, its funny, and wanted to share.

And this is why you ALWAYS deal through the courts or the CS office directly. This could have easily gone the other way.
I am glad it turned out for you though.
