Visitation

Sometimes SD11 does not want to go to her mother's for her visit, does anyone know how this is handled legally? She is too scared to tell her mother she doesn't want to come and if she works up the nerve to tell her, BM starts promising things to entice her into coming and then she usually renege so said things. But what can we do besides going to court?

Why should have to go? other than court orders? She is starting to realize her Mother isn't right either.

Or you could be like PB (CP in our case) who just ignored the CO and gave the skids the option of whether they wanted to visit their dad or stay with mom and do [insert super fun activity here] instead.

In our state, men (especially NCP men) get a bum rap. We took into court 2 PAGES of missed/denied visitation from PB. One incident per page.

She got a Contempt of Court fine. A whopping $500. Yippie Skippy.

You have to encourage her to go. If it is bad, then take BM to court. Otherwise, we are no better than the BM's witholding visitation to get what they want. Our SS wanted to stop at 13. We had to go back to court. He won and now only sees BM on EOWE until he turns 14 and then it is up to him...

Usually it is enforceable with the judge until 14. But, I would do the right thing and encourage her to go to BM's.
