I have a question, about being in arreas, and CSE, intercepting tax refunds. Now my husband is behind by about $ 2,000 , and we are getting $$ back this year, by direct deposit, and it should show up in a few days, we did our taxes w/ H&R Block, and it goes on a debit card they issued us, and our "stimulious" check will come in May sometime, in the mail. My husband is under a deduction order, and they take out the support amount, plus extra that is applied to the arreas, so my question is will they still try to intercept our return, and if so, what one will it be ? We live & work in Mass, as some of you know, or will he be able to send the $$ himself? Thanks. Chel

In my state they intecept
In my state they intecept the refund. It goes directly from the IRS to CSE. They can go for state and federal returns. All refunds are intercepted until the arears are satisfied. They only collect arears this way, not the monthly payment. I hope this helps.

I'm glad we do not owe alot, either way we are glad to get it payed up, then it will be back to just monthly amounts. You can file a form, forget
You can file a form, forget which one that the IRS will take into consideration so YOU and YOUR baby still get what would be owed to you. Get on IRS .gov and either have H&R block file it or file it yourself. Call them and advise them this is what you are doing - goes with the stimuli package too

it is called form 8379, Injured Spouse Form. Covers the innocent spouse in the Marriage. They will intercept the Tax Refund and the Stimulus Refund.

Your stimulus payment should
Your stimulus payment should be deposited the same way your
federal tax return was given to you. Look on irs.gov and it will tell you the dates that you can expect the money in your bank acct according the the last 4 digits of your soc.

Cool, I was hoping they would send it that way, I just thought it would come in the mail. Having the arreas payed off before that goes out should not intercept it , I hope.
