Am I out of Line?
This Monday my wife and I are taking SD 12 to our county science fair which is 2.4hrs away. We have to leave at 430am. I and my wife took the day off work. I was just told by my wife that our SD's dad is in town on Monday which he works out of town. SD 13 will be with him and he will take her to school that day and they wont be attending the science fair. But, she said that she set it up to drop our my 3 year old son together at his out at 4 in the morning and he would drop our son off at pre school. I said hell no and blew a fuse. Now I am staying home and taking care of my son. She has proceeded to call me a immature prick and i need to grow up. I dont understand why my Father who lives less than a mile away from us can't take his own grandson to school. I proceeded to let her know I dont not want to be a big happy family with her ex. Attending softball games and school functions and seeing him is enough for me and i dont want him involved that close with my son. Am I the wrong person Here?

Thanks for the comment. Over
Thanks for the comment. Over the 7 years we have been together her ex has made comments to the SD's about me like dont let him tell you what to do and the normal pissed off ex stuff. So they have always been distant from me and have made it clear that Im not their dad and he is and hes #1. Soooo I guess thats why I feel the way i do. If he was a approachable guy and didnt try to mad dog me and try to be a phoney when i confront him and he plays mr nice guy i probably would have a different look on it.
In the 10 years I've been
In the 10 years I've been with my husband, we've had 2 scenarios where once my BD rode with my DH exW and once my exH dropped off my SDs @ BM's house. Both times were very unusual circumstances (like 1x, I had to take my DH to the ER).
I would say if she's looking at this as a really unusual circumstance and all parties are ok with each other for the most part (I mean it IS 4 am...) I guess I'd give her a pass.
Maybe another idea might be to have BS3 stay the night with granddad so there's no 4am drop offs?
Um, no way. There is no way I
Um, no way. There is no way I would allow it either. DH knows to even suggest something like that with my BD1. I would have blown a fuse too. Not cool.
I won't even get within 100 feet of my SD BM when I have my BD with me. She's crazy and I don't even want her to GLANCE my daughter's way. Regardless that I have a relationship with her daughter. It's not my fault she doesn't want to have anything to do with her own child.
*rant over*
Now, if you guys were best friends and you set it up that would be different. But, let's just be serious. That's just not the case.
