So, no messages from SD17 Powersulk about packages.

Packages still hidden

Spoke with Husband and he agrees - no she doesnt get the tattoo starter kit until shes 18, and he will explain why.

I had previously had a few more convos with SH Cousin who put the fear into me, so now I understand more about the risks. Unclean needles, unlean gun, inclean anything leads to infection and possible diseases.

Trust that she will do the right thing? hahahah.

He knows better than to trust in that, although he didnt seem at all worried. I will need to consult a legal source and provide that to him, and her probably too.

At this point, I dont really care much HOW she feels, shes not my kid and shes on her way out.

I hope the packages are hidden from DH too. I'm sorry, but I would not trust him. I'd be afraid he'd say that he talked to her and gave the packages to her as she promised not to use them. 

Powersulk does not work. How is she paying for things to be delivered? If she's a user on someone's credit card, that person may have liability if this goes sideways.

He hasnt brought it up all weekend, and hasnt asked where they are.

Yes, the kit I saw online is 200 plus $$$. Where is the money coming from, I guess thats another big question.

And when I asked him if any of his cc are linked to her account he insisted no. So it has to be someone elses money.

Im trusting husband and giving him the packages to withhold and discuss.

I talked to others and am convinced that as soon as SD powersulk realizes that I am what is standing in her way, she will work against me somehow.

I agree I don't trust DH. He believes any shit she gives him.  I am sure she didn't order it. It was for a friend. Ect.

Husband hasnt mentioned anything all weekend. Today is the start of her week with us, he is supposed to have a discussion withher, without myself included of course.

I'm glad your H is handling things.

But I worry about you oversharing with his cousin. She's NOT your friend, and it could bite you in the butt.

I agree... family to him and PS are not necessarily "her" family.. and the drama gossip train will likely get back to PS at some point that it was Clove that is driving this "anti tattoo train".

I also think her DH will likely start the conversation with

Honey.. Clove saw that a package delivered for you here is for tattoo equipment and she is concerned you will use it and cause yourself or someone else some problem with it.  You won't will you?

PS:  "Oh no dadeee.. I am just going to practice with it on fake skin I really think I would be good.. I'm really good at drawing.. and the artists make so much money!"

But Ive taken the steps to take myself out of the firing range.

They DO make money. And if she did it the right way it would be a great way to monetise her art talent.

BUT, shes not known for doing things the right away, or even at all. My confidence in that is very low.

I did have to try to trust husband with it all, and hope that he gets through to her.

I’m curios why the package was delivered to your address and not her mothers since that seems to be PSSD17’s primary residence?  Perhaps PSSD17 has decided she’s going to start apprenticing with a tattoo artist and was told this equipment is what she needs to get to start practicing?  It’s not like she shares the inner machinations of her mind with you or DH, so really you aren’t ever going to know the truth.

Unless her sister Feral Forger has been skulking around for some reason. I have absolutely no idea.

She tells us what she wants to when it seems important, or we ask questions (meaning husband), so we just see the surface she presents.

It would be great if she went about it the right way and apprenticed or interned for a licensed place, and got training. I can see that she would be encouraged to get a starter kit and the fake skins to practice on until she turns 18 and her skills have been developed.

Is that a risk that I am willing to take right now? Nope. Thats what it comes down to really. She has all the time after 18.

CA does have regulations. It is illegal to perform tattoo or body art services outside of permitted facilities or without registration with the county. You must be 18 and there is a mandatory course before you can become a permitted practioner. Since one must be 18, I doubt she could currently intern or apprentice.
