DH growing a backbone?
So lots of snow where we are and SD and DH decide to go sledding. I'm home watching the baby, totally fine cuz I'm not a huge fan of sledding. SD9 wants to wear boots that are too small for her and have been for a while. Dad says no wear your other boots. Back and forth back and forth until they are late picking up her friend who's going sledding too. Finally DH says put the right boots on or we're not going at all! Boots are not something to cry about! Especially when you're 9 years old! Now, a year ago, even a couple months ago, he would've let her wear whatever boots she wanted and helped her put them on. Should have seen the look on her face when daddy was actually firm with her: she started to cry and said "I'm sorry daddy I can't help it, you don't have to yell at me." (Hopefully there was no kissing up to her and apologizing in the car) I think that might be a benefit of her living w us 24/7. He has a lot less tolerance for behaviors that used to be accepted when she was here on weekends only.

I think some dads catch on
I think some dads catch on quicker than others do about these types of behaviors.
One may crack within a year and the other may never lose his passive ways.
Aren't they SO much sexier
Aren't they SO much sexier when they have a backbone??? LOL
