happy mom's picture

Does anyone have any suggestion on games/activities for bridal shower? My sister's bridal shower is in 2 weeks and I have no idea as to what games/activities to have for her party. Would appreciate some help, thanks.

I've played this game at a house party a few years ago...we could only ask each person 5 questions to figure out who we were.. then had to move on to talk to another person. So you end up talking to people you may not have otherwise..in addition to your friends.

I just pasted this from www.bridalshower.com ....
Who am I?
This one is an easy way to get everyone talking to one another. Ahead of time, write down the names of famous people on index cards - singers, celebrity, political figures, authors. As each guest arrives, pin the identity to their back without them knowing the name. Guests find out who they are by asking others YES or NO questions. Depending on the group of people, you may or may not also decide to put a limit on the number of questions that can be asked to one person consecutively. Depending on how long it takes, you can opt for first prize only or extend out to second and third. If you want everyone to get a chance to figure it out, you may also give out a prize to the last person.

We also do the "X" hidden on the bottom of the paper plates, napkins, cups etc....wins a prize.

They have alot of ideas on that website..:) have fun!!

Hi HappyMom,
I organised my best friends hens night which I guess is similar to a bridal shower in that the bride has all her female family members & friends with her to celebrate the upconing marriage?
Well, because it was an event where not everyone knows everyone (because there are family members, friends from work, social friends etc) we made a game where by in the invitation, we asked each person to bring them something that reminds them of the bride, an experience they had with her, funny story - whatever! When they arrived, each person put their item in a big box. Then the game was that the bride to be had to pick each item out of the box and try and guess which friend put it in there and what the story behind it was - it helped everyone relax and get know each person and how they were friends with the bride...it was also a lovely gesture for the bride to re-live memories etc! Have fun!

Right Left Bridal Shower Game

Instructions:

Everyone sits in a circle. Wrap two or three gifts (depending on the number of guests you have) and give
to two or three guests sitting in the circle. (space the gifts out) Tell the guests to listen closely as you
read the following story below and pass the gifts to their left or right whenever they hear it read. Don't
read this to slow, it will make the game much funnier as your guest try to keep up and pass the gifts in
the correct order. Don't stop to let them catch up if they get confused. Let them figure that out for
themselves. Whoever is holding the gift at the end, wins that gift.

(Bride's name) knew RIGHT away that she had found Mr. RIGHT and the RIGHT date was set. Now
seemed to be the RIGHT time to start so she LEFT RIGHT after lunch and went RIGHT to her mother's
house. She LEFT in such a hurry that she LEFT her to do list RIGHT on the living room table. But
there was not time to turn back. She knew she needed to get started RIGHT away to make sure nothing
was LEFT undone.

There was little time LEFT to spare and so much LEFT to do. She asked her mother to WRITE down
a guest list because she knew mom would make sure no one was LEFT out. (Bride's name) LEFT
to find the RIGHT invitations. On her way, she LEFT a message at the florist and then RIGHT into the
bridal shop she ran.

RIGHT in the window was the perfect dress. "Oh no, I LEFT my checkbook RIGHT in the car." "Hold
that dress, I'll be RIGHT back." With that done, she called Mr. RIGHT and LEFT him a message to call
her RIGHT back. She LEFT to meet the florist who had LEFT her a message that they had the RIGHT
flowers for her.

Mr. RIGHT called her RIGHT back and said he LEFT a message for the preacher to call him RIGHT back
and that he had just LEFT work and would be RIGHT over.

She LEFT the florist and ran RIGHT over to meet Mr. RIGHT. RIGHT away they discussed what was
LEFT to do. "Who will be the RIGHT best man?" She LEFT left that up to Mr. RIGHT. "I'll get the RIGHT
maid of Honor."

RIGHT away they started shopping for the RIGHT rings. With that done, the next stop was to order the
RIGHT cake. Mr. RIGHT could clearly see his future, Mrs. RIGHT was on the RIGHT track.

After a long day, they were both LEFT exhausted. All that was LEFT to do was get RIGHT home to see
if any messages were LEFT while they were out. Sure enough, Mom had LEFT a message that the
Church RIGHT down the road was available so she requested it RIGHT away. Now that was not LEFT to
worry about. "Lets call it a day." "Whatever is LEFT to do, can be LEFT until tomorrow." They agreed.
With a kiss, he LEFT and she went RIGHT to bed.

End of Story. If you are holding a gift, you are the winner.
