Excruciatingly Painful weekend with Skid!
Oy Vey! I had the pleasure **sarcasm*** of being with SS13 all weekend from Friday after school until just moments ago. It was pure torture.. he is moody, anxious, and has the personality of a rock. I cant even just do normal day to day things in my home when he is here.. he lays around like a lump on a log. My husband doesn't understand what the big deal is, but then again he was at work half the weekend, so he wouldn't. You know its bad when its the weekend and you wish you were at work. I don't even like my job, and I would MUCH rather be working. I cant believe that I'm looking forward to Monday! Anyway, I tried to 'entertain' him by taking him places..renting movies for him.. and he really didn't care, and said almost nothing, it would have been more fun to take a stuffed animal out. I mean this kid is just so BORING! He acts like a 50 year old man in a 13 year old body. I just don't get it. Finally I just left him to sit like a lump in the chair and watch TV, but even then he was pacing the room and when asked to please take a seat or go to another room so everyone else could watch TV he snapped back with, I just like to walk allot, I'm just that kind of person. Ugh! Just sit the hell down for the love of god! Clearly, you can see I'm at my wits end and am getting highly annoyed over little things now. Thankfully I made it thru the weekend and am having a beer in celebration! Also, I don't see him next week so that is a wonderful wonderful thing!! Thank you Jesus!

Hi June, congrats on living
Hi June, congrats on living thru the weekend. I have been there/done that every other weekend for years, and you are not the only one who counts the hours until Monday rolls around. It is truly messed up I agree. Hooray, Monday, get up early, difficult boss, bag lunch, boring job...but no skid so sign me up. I have even volunteered to cover other people and work extra just to escape. You are the better person though for at least trying to entertain your skid. Mine is about the same age and I stopped bothering long ago. I can't decide who I dislike more on skid weeks, my fiance who ignores me, coddles the kid, drops everything to kiss has lazy butt, or skid himself, who like yours does absolutely nothing, unless you count video games which he plays at least 10 hours a day (thank goodness). When he isn't playing video games, he is doing his best 6 year old impression. All I hear is dad, help me with this, dad, tie my shoes, dad, rub my back, dad, make me this for dinner, dad, let me sit on your lap, dad, I can't go to bed before midnight because I want to beeeeeee with you, etc. etc. etc. All the kid says to me is "where's dad?" or my favorite is when fiance and I are sitting together on the couch and skid comes down and says "goodnight dad." I guess there are a million ways that skids suck, but it seems pretty universal that they do. This was my happy, beautiful, heavenly perfect non-skid weekend. Amazing how fast those fly by isn't it?? On those weekends I never pray for Monday.
Forever2- don't you LOVE it
Forever2- don't you LOVE it when they say goodnight dad and your sitting right there! Oh, I hate that. Like ir would really kill em to say goodnight guys, or dad and 'insert your name here'. Whateve! Glad u had a nice skid free weekend- I love those. Our normal visitation schedule is every Sunday and alternating Fri / Sat. So I get to see the dear for a part of EVERY weekend! So joyous!
