SD13 lost her phone about three weeks ago because she got suspended from the bus for 3 days PLUS got put on in-school suspension for a different misbehavior.

The past few days she has been making a big deal out of the fact that she has "three B's" now and is doing soooo well in school. And yesterday evening she asked if her teacher had called. When we said no, she said her English teacher was supposed to call and tell her dad how good she's been in school.

All of this was hinting toward getting her phone back. DH will not let her nag him about it outright so she is subtly trying to remind him that it's time for Princess to have her phone back.

And it was working like a charm. DH asked me, right after the convo about the teacher's planned call, if maybe we should go ahead and give Princess her phone back??? I told him I didn't know... it was up to him. DH was smart and waited.

Last night I got on the school website and checked her grades just to make sure she actually did have three B's. And guess what? Yes, she does have three B's. She also has three D's that she failed to mention. AND she was on in-school suspension again yesterday, which was probably the REAL reason the teacher had planned to call.

Also found out she has several unexcused absences from certain classes. Looks like Princess might be skipping school. It's very enlightening when you actually check out a kid's story, isn't it???

Now DH is upset with her and plans to "talk to her about it" when she gets back from BM's Sunday evening. I think it is going to be a long time before Princess gets her phone back. Wouldn't be surprised if she didn't get her a$$ tore up in the meantime.

Should be an entertaining evening.
