SS8- in tears- "BM says she's sending DH to jail! dH is my favorite person!"
Ss6 called this AM to tell DH he wanted "to come live with you for always", and this afternoon DH talked to SS8 who sobbed that mommy told them she was sending DH to jail, and DH is SS8's favorite person in the whole world, and he is super upset! BM claims she has "no idea" why the kids would think that she was trying to send DH to jail.
Lol. I know what the thought process was, and i can guess what she said to her fiance, in front of the kids.
dH lost his job, and being an honest guy, he told BM. This has NOT IN ANY WAY AFFECTED HER CS. It's taken care of, and he is job hunting, but it won't even show up as a delay for another week, and we have sent ahead to CSE to try to preempt the anticipated delay. But i am positive, she said something along the lines of "oh good, if he misses a CS payment i can send him to jail! In front of the kids!

Is DH able to file for unemployment benefits? He should if he can.
I'm really sorry she's telling the kids this. Something DH used for the kids a few years ago was this dvd called "Welcome Back Pluto" that helps kids figure out what the truth really is and who's lying (even if it's BM). I'm sure it's on Amazon. If you google "Dr. Richard Warshak" it's on his website.
I know it costs money, but I think the purchase could really help SS. The DVD is geared towards kids his age.

I bet (mine) didn't tell the skids, i am sure she said it in their earshot and thought they wouldn't understand or something. But those kids are smart... And giant blabbermouths, so we hear all the tidbits. We need to always be careful about what we say in front of them, too.
