Princess turned 18. I was with her when she turned 6 and have been at every birthday since. Her bio-mom has NEVER taken the time to acknowledge a birthday, unless it happened to fall on her weekend. No calls, no gifts, no cards. NADA.

Princess turned 18. Loca Grande took the afternoon of work and came and got her after school and took her for ice cream. She was angry to discover she couldn't spend more time with her, since we had a family dinner planned. Loghead says she tried to invite herself to the dinner, but he pretended he didn't understand her, and was like "Oh, you can have a family party next weekend; that'll be so nice!"

We had a great dinner at Princess's favorite restaurant. After we ate, we went back home, and her boyfriend and my FIL and SIL came over for cake and ice cream.

Really, it was just a perfect day! And Princess was like, "whatever, we got ice cream. Big whoop!"
