OT - Promotion Updates.

Does OT mean off topic? I hope so.

Anyways I'm still a bit clunky in my new role overseeing about 20 people.

Excited and nervous at the same time.

After hours (less managers less employees) I got a little too comfortable and liked a joking post of one of the team members, so I have to go back on Monday and unlike it so I can make sure upper management sees me as a mature professional candidate for the next round of promotions

Our team finished on top in performance at closing and I did my best to help and keep them motivated

Of course Disneyland Dad gives his "on his best behavior" probably fake support (probably to encourage me to keep working so I can stay and subsidize his child support while simultaneously complaining I work too much and "never" have time for him)

I really didn't want to tell him bc I didn't want him stalking my earnings

But since I'm leaving... to h3ll with what he thinks

Congratulations on the promotion. Leading teams is a challenge

and can be extremely rewarding. And congratulations on a solid close.

Delete the like if you think it is best, but don't stress it. An occassional human moment is not highly risky to your future advancement opportunities. Most likely anyway.

As for sharing with STBX, nope. Not his business, do not overshare. If you feel like rubbing it in a bit, let him know as you are carrying your last box to your car to follow the moving truck to your new place. Do something like look at your phone and say "I can't wait for the masseause to come this afternoon. I have him coming once a week. It is my gift to myself for my promotion/raise. Buh-bye." Then flounce happily to your car and drive into your new succesful life adventure.
