Any SM's on the East Coast?

If so, where? I'm in Virginia. I want some IRL steptalk buddies.

I'd love to be your IRL buddy, but I'm in Missouri. Sad I need some buddies who actually understand the crap SMs go through.

Yeah..especially bc most of us are surrounded by DH's family who is no help and sometimes our own families don't even understand. Bleh.

Actually, I'm a transplanted Texan! I moved here in '02, met DH in '05, and now I'm stuck here. Wink

I come from Virginia, HS & College in VB & Hampton.

Do you have a military connection? Fleet & Family Services offers a support group for steps.

Aww, no, I do not have a military connection other than my father..but that wouldn't work. Cool..Im in VB myself Smile

Okay so how about checking out the support groups offered at the Meyera Oberdorf Central Library?

Also, find a good, structured playgroup for your unborn child, you'll want a group of Moms to chat with & as your child grows, structured playgroups allow your child to go through solitary play to side by side play to group play with other kids at the same development stage. I was lucky enough to reconnect with a childhood bestie (we were military brats) & she gave birth the same time I did & then the 2nd time, we were also within weeks of each others, our children are still besties. That support might prove enough to help you through the step-parenting stuff too.
