Is it normal to get so annoyed at DH and SS when pregnant?
I'm 25 weeks pregnant and I'm so annoyed with DH and SS. Everything they do bothers me.
On Monday I went grocerry shopping to pick up some items for my lunches since I was starting a new job and I get up in the morning and guess who had pretty much eaten everything I'd gotten, yep SS. Seriously who eats 2 lbs of grapes, 6 bananas, 6 yogurt, peaches, lunch meat etc... all in less then 1 day? That's not including breakfast, lunch and dinner that I made him.
DH didn't think it was a big deal and that pissed me off. Hell if we didn't have SS full-time and he wasn't eating us out of house and home I wouldn't have to work full-time and could stay home with our son when he gets here.
I'm so tired of having to work so damn hard not for my own child but for SS and because DH has no desire to find a job that pays better so who gets stuck paying for all of SS's extras? Yep me!
I honestly can't stand to look at either of them!

A woman who is pregnant is
A woman who is pregnant is in a fragile emotional state.
In this case though I do not think your hormones have anything to do with it.I would be pissed off as well. You specifically set out and got yourself stuff for your lunches and SS devoured nearly everything. That is just plain rude.SS should have asked first. My skids ask before they raid the fridge. I am sorry to hear that your working only to put more food on the table. DH should be a little more motivated because you have a little one on the way. Is it possible for him to grab a little OT? The job market is scary now but if he could pull some OT maybe that could ease the stress off of you. DH needs to plan ahead because I am sure that you would like to be home with your little one. It is sometimes more practical that way too. Many couples have the majority of one of their paychecks going to child care alone. I think you should talk to SS and tell him that you dont mind sharing but if he is going to take stuff you have for lunch at least ask first.DH is being a bit insensitive. I would take some of your pay and get a massage or a mani pedi and try to relax. Hang in there.

Hey I'd be pissed and I'm
Hey I'd be pissed and I'm NOT pregnant! You need to be very clear about which foods you bought for your lunches for the upcoming week & that no one is to touch them! Leave them in the grocery bags & label do not touch if you have to! Somehow I have trained all kids to ask before they take ANYTHING.
"I child proofed my whole house, but they STILL get in!"
OMG.. I would be freakin
OMG.. I would be freakin livid.. I get royally pissed when we have foods for the skids specifically, then they insist on eating foods that I bought specifically for my meals.. like work lunches and quick breakfasts.
How old is your ss? does he live w/you guys full time?
Oh.. and dh is an @ss if he doesnt have a problem w/that. Not only are you working, you are doing all the shopping too.. wth? I would eat all that you got those two for their meals.. and leave them w/nothing.. esp if he is eating a full week's worth of food in one friggin day.. that is being a gluton. Bet he did it on purpose.
Extras
I would quit paying for SS extras. BM and the father are responsible for that not you. I was in the same place going broke all the time, not getting anything I wanted...by about month 9 in the marriage I decided to forget it! I don't buy them extras. I figure their parents don't care, so why should I be the only one constantly doing without!
I would be pissed whether pregnant or not
I added up the calories from the things that you mentioned your SS ate of yours...and without knowing exactly what or how much he ate (peaches, lunch meat) I got approximately 2800 extra calories that he consumed from those food items in the day that he ate them. That on top of what you had fed him for his normal 3 meals could add up to 4,000 to 6,000 calories in one day! An average 9 year old boy needs no more than 2,000 calories a day, depending on his level of activity (if he's a couch potato he may require less than that). I don't know how old your SS is, but most people don't need any more calories than that. Maybe your DH will start to think it's a big deal when your SS balloons out to obesity by the time he's 14... It only takes consuming a little over 3,000 extra calories to gain one pound of fat. Your SS, if he does not already have weight issues, will have them very soon if your DH continues to allow him to eat you out of house and home.
Not only would I be mad from an economic standpoint, but in true Nymh fashion, I would also be infuriated from a scientific standpoint!

I'd be pissed, too.
On the other hand, at least he's getting his fruit -- WOW!!!

Well he just got himself in trouble
Seems he's been eating junk food (which we knew about) and hiding the wrappers in the garage and now we've got ourselves a nice big rat living in the garage.
His dad was pretty pissed when I ended up hurting myself trying to keep our pups from attacking the rat. I don't want to have to get them yet another rabies shot. When I told him there was a rat in the garage and he went out to look he found that SS had been hiding wrappers behind some boxes and that's what the rat had been attracted to.
Even more calories!
I sincerely hope that your DH gets it now. If this kid doesn't have weight issues now, he will soon at this rate...
