Why BM4?

I have a question.. Why would BM4 post a pic of her in her wedding dress (when she married DH) online? It was 30 years ago. They have been divorced 25 years. and yes she has been with SF since 6 weeks after she threw DH out.

If it had a TBT label, it could have been a "throwback thursday" photo, where people post pictures from their past. Still an odd choice, but could explain why it was an old picture...

We have been together for 24 years. I don't follow her around. It was just that an OLD family friend wanted to know why she posted that pic. There is nothing to let go, I have her blocked on every social media.

No, she has no clue that I saw it. I have her blocked on every social media. An 85 yr old family friend wanted to know.

I was not bothered by it at all. I don't look, I have her blocked on every social media site.

Because she's disordered? BM still posts old photos of her first husband (no kids together) even though she's on husband #4. Some people are just nuts.

I just don't get it. You would think she would post pics of her current husband's wedding. Oh well to each his own.

Did she just randomly post the picture or did she say something with they pic like "Hey y'all check out my lovely wedding dress from 30 years ago!"

Possibly because she looked better 30 years ago and it's a flattering pic of her? Dunno, that's all I've got.

I'd vote for this. If you never have any issues/contact with her she probably just posted it because she was young and pretty then.

The issues stopped 2 or 3 yrs ago when DH blocked BM4 on FB and she was not a happy camper. She started going on as the SK's. So I blocked them. Then DH Blocked them. Now its become since he blocked them on FB he blocked them in real life. Our phone number has been the same for over 14 yrs.

Well yesterday was "thow back Thursday" so maybe she was looking through old pics and saw this one and thought she looked beautiful or silly or something? I don't generally go to bat for BMs... but I just don't see any ulterior motive here. I can't imagine why she would give a hoot about you or your DH if it's been 25 years since they were married? I'm assuming any skids she is BM 2 are grown so she and your DH are not even in contact anymore?

Yes you are correct BM4’s kids are between 27, 28 and 29. For the last 25 yrs BM has been alienating DH. Since the youngest turned 18 she has amped up the alienation. For the last 3 years she has talked to them maybe once each. They think he is the worst father on the planet. I have stopped all contact with BM4 15 years ago. DH had to deal with her and her crazy antics. Not my monkeys.

Ok I'm not even going to BS...That would piss me off..just a little. Seriously? Why would someone post a wedding pic from 30 years ago other than to take a jab at someone. I would never post a picture of me and my XH for any reason let alone my wedding photo.
And the OP said MULTIPLE times that she wasn't searching for it, someone pointed it out. I have BM blocked from my stuff too but when someone told me BM got married (she never even told her own children she was getting married0 went to courthouse and did it) I looked...hell yes I did. I was making sure I was hearing correctly.
If DH's XW posted a pic from their wedding, it would piss me off.

So stop trying to make this woman feel like she was stalking the woman.

She was just asking if antone thought this was odd.

HELL YES ITS ODD!! Noe having said all that, I would initially be "WTF" but would then just let it roll and forget about it.
You lasted WAY longer than she has so you are the only wife that counts!!!

That is what I was thinking. I tell my friends that I don’t want to know what she is posting. She has in the last year or so called me all kinds of names. I told people unless she uses my name I don’t care. Well she has started using my actual name, calling me DH’s “slu*” Telling people I hacked her (lies). Trust me I am not interested in her life. Aliened her and DH’s older kids (but one).

Little does she know... I don't care.

She did it because she thinks she looks young and beautiful. Wants everyone on FB to tell her how gorgeous she is.

I vote for this. I had a friend in middle and high school who was drop dead gorgeous and sexy as could be. The guys all just drooled over her. I have not laid eyes on her in maybe 40 years although we have mutual acquaintances.

She friended me on FB a couple of years ago but declined to post any pictures of herself - just her grandchildren. No problem. She even made a comment to someone that she hadn't aged as well as this other friend had.

But recently her granddaughter posted a picture from her birthday. OMG - she looks like my 90 year old aunt. And I am NOT exaggerating. Old, fat, frumpy and unfortunately on oxygen. That picture came down quickly to be replaced by one of her as a beautiful young woman.

It's always kind of weird to get old - but I can't imagine what it would be like to have been strikingly beautiful and to end up - well pretty much the opposite.

Sometimes I'll post a picture when I was younger (TBT). Yes I was lots younger 40+ years ago. But I don't feel that I was more attractive as a youth than I am now as an old person - when age adjusted. Of course I was always the brain not the beauty so I never relied on my looks.

My Mom has a friend like that. She's a wonderful, fun, bubbly, smart woman. She's also very very big, has these big blubbery lips and for years she dyed her hair black and it looked horrid.

I recently saw a picture of her when she was in her hay day as a flight attendant. :jawdrop:

I actually had to tell myself to not react because I knew it would be terribly rude. She was drop dead gorgeous. She was curvy and sexy, long jet black hair, big naturally pouty lips. The Kardashians have nothing on her younger self!

I think she's okay with herself and aging but she doesn't have old pictures around, she'd pulled this one out because I'd asked about her career as a fight attendant.

Man, she had the life. Traveling around the world, affairs with wild rich foreign men. Multiple marriage proposals but she never settled down. She was addicted to the lifestyle. By the time she decided she wanted a family she had put on a ton of weight and the men who she was attracting weren't attractive to her. She's with someone now and I think they are happy but he has 2 adult kids who are in their late 30s who have failed to launch miserably and he just keeps fixing and buying things for them.
