OT-funkshion
I just saw someone on fb giving someone else advice. They spelled "function" "funkshion"
And left it that way. I type on my tablet, so I'm no stranger to typos but I am SHOOK. I couldn't post this on Facebook so I had to post it here. This girl's spell check just straight up gave up and is probably on a barstool somewhere.

Oh geez. I used to teach English for a living both at the high school and college level. (Comp and Rhet / Logic / Literature).
Can't tell you how many personal essays I read where high school students were "balling" their eyes out about something (sounds painful!) or where their dads were their heroes and their moms were their "angles" (how acute).
But my absolute favorite of all time was a non-traditional college student who wrote about her wedding day and how she and her husband-to-be wrote their own "vowels" to each other and said their "vowels" and her heart was just so full of love when she heard him say those "vowels" at the ceremony.
The visual was so good:
Student's Fiance: "I love you so much, and so I want you to hear me, and believe me when I say to you: 'A. E. I. O. U.'"
Student: "I feel the exact same way. And sometimes Y."
