HOOTERS!!!!

need2vent's picture

So I am telling my sons that they will be with their dad for Valentines Day but tease and add, but I am sure you will miss me , your #1 girl.
My 14 yo BS does not miss a beat and replies " yeah , we will probably just head down to Hooters" ;-0
Good thing they both laughed!

This is my same son who when a huge semi with a trailor pulled out dangerously close to me this week, I said look at that mother(thinking motherload due to size, I swear) My son asks what were you going to say mom, mother trucker?
What happened to my baby boys? LOL

They do get funnier as they get older, I have two BSs 18 & 21 and they love giving me a hard time, just this morning (as is my routine) I always check the 18 yr old's room to make sure he is safe and sound at home, (he goes to see friends and is usually not home when I go to bed) so I look in his room this morning and notice that his laptop is on but he is not in bed, ok now I start to worry so I go to my room to get into some clothes,(i was in the shower and just had a robe on) when I entered my room I hear raaaaaaah...my youngest scares the sh*t out of me!!
Oh he thinks it is so funny, so I beat him with my t-shirt that I had in my hand!! he will recover in time to go to school on Monday. heehee
enjoy those boys, and their sense of humor, I would not change my two for nuttin.

was practically rolling on the floor laughing. I thought what the hell, Drugs? He had been watching a utube video on the tourette's guy. If I wasn't a nurse and didn't realize that it is a true dz, I too would be laughing.

I did tell him that was a real dz, but to him he thought it was hilarous to see a grown man curse for no reason at all, maybe not that funny - but to see him laugh, that was the best !

I think it was back in 2000 a friend of mine called me in a panic for a favor. Her son Mikey was just turning 13 and for his birthday he wanted to go to Hooters. She didn't have enough courage to take him so she wanted me to go with them. We went. Mikey spent the whole time staring at all the sports memoriabilia on the walls about NASCAR and football. Didn't even notice the waitress at all....

Now, I bet that wouldn't probably be the case if he went again, but it was funny.

the love of sons for their mom, being told how cool you are ,or as yesterday hugged tightly with tears as one recognizes he was wrong and you are right, when you had to be THE MOM. I also know my perspective is female and the communication it takes to keep the lines open and learn the rules of boys,(for example when they explain tattling in a friend is social death to a boy, the largets betrayal, but girls tend to turn each other in all the time! LOL)
Getting tired of telling them to stop wiping hands on sofa , so taking a guy approach and pinning note to sofa saying" STOP wiping your hands on me, I hate it!"signed the couch)I love what they bring out in me.

Cruella, your story made me laugh out loud,so Grandma has a fancy for truck drivers? Go Girl! How cute is that? my now 98 yo grandmother was Valentines Queen at her home 4 years ago, the next year some one else was awarded the honor and she sulked ALL day, could not believe they gave it to THAT woman! Her hair has to be so so , her nails usually done, she is quite spirited.

Yes Stepwitch, we should get a job at Hooters and raise our incomes, where is our closest one, I had my "sisters" buried properly in the job at the curch, they are ready for some air!

Sai Deschain, my boys jump out to scare me also,(we have a running joke about making mom's hair go gray) but I have started jumping back!! First time I did , we laughed until we cried, they were so shocked mom would crouch down and leap! Now I just space it out, element of surprise don't cha know.

Poor Kevin, you dare to post on a predominantly female post and we tease you. Smile You know we love you!

Again!

This is starting to turn out to be a busy year. Lots and lots of stuff to do at work, but I am still around. Feel free to yell out for me because sometimes things get hectic around here.
