I have 2 or possibly 3 hours to myself....

..since I sent SO with SD 8 to the park in a smarty pants way! SD asked me this morning what we would do today- she always likes to be entertained.I threw the ball to SO and then skillfully ducked out once "we" decided what to do- in this case vistiting the park. There is no way I wanted to go with the two of them anywhere. When the other kids are here it is different, but my younger BS was just picked up by a friend, middle BS on a bike ride and all is left is DD 17, who is lovely, and me!!!!!It is sad but I get zero enjoyment of hanging out with the two of them- especially when demanding SD 8 non stop talks (mainly crap)and needs all the attention.
SD was instantly falling back into baby stage when she knew they would go together to the park, hahaha, talking with little girl voice like a 4 year old and all that...This used to be always like their "babygirl-daddy "ritual- she completely takes over SO (and he buys her stuff) .She will get bored in the park anyway after 3 minutes and will probably get him into getting her things...
But you know what - I have finally some meeeeee time .And then I will take MY daughter out for a treat, too.

I've been thinking along these lines, too. Maybe it would be best if I just sent them out together and I had some "me" time. It seems like every time I go our with them, I get left out and upset. But my husband seems to be at his happiest when he has both of us out together. I wish he would just understand if he made me feel like his wife instead of a 3rd wheel, I might be happy to go out with them too.
