Yesterday was parent/teacher conferences for DS13. Me, DH and ex all met with a panel of his teachers. I always go to these holding my breath. He is a good kid but very social and likes to be the funny guy so is sometimes considered disruptive in class. It's an issue we have worked hard on as parents - all of us.

His teachers complimented us as parents that DS seems to be very well adjusted between our homes and our ability to work together as parents to look out for his best interest. They commented that they see many situations that are detrimental to the kids but can't really say anything to the parents to point out how they are using the kids as pawns.

It was nice to hear that something is working. That someone notices that we can co-parent and divorce doesn't need to destroy a child's sucess in life.

I'm thankful for this one night to be able to lay my head down at night and have a good thought to end my day on.
