Mexico is fine....We are
Mexico is fine....We are doing Cozumel, Haiti and Jamaica in December. Cozumel is great because you can do the tour of the Mayan ruins which is great to see....That one is in Tulum. We are doing different ruins this time. I have done Mexico many times and never had a problem. If you are worried use the cruis lines excursions. In Jamaica we don't because we hire a private cab to drive us all over the island. This time we are doing tubing and horseback riding in the sea and our driver is coordinating it for us. It will end up half the cost of what we would pay if we went through the cruise line.
Any of the ports in Mexico are pretty fun, food is good and the margaritas are great!
We love Royal Caribbean.
We love Royal Caribbean. Depending on where you live you can get great rates leaving from lesser used departure ports like Baltimore and New Jersey. As Whimsey said avoid Mexico. If you can afford it splurge for a balcony room. We love getting room service breakfast and eating on the balcony when we cruise childless.
We take a cruise every year.
We take a cruise every year. My Favorite is Royal Caribbean. Carnival is good as well. But, if you have younger kids, I highly recommend Disney. We are taking a cruise for Christmas this year. Did it last year and loved being gone for the holidays...No need to deal with family and going to multiple houses, we just won't be here. My BS17 is going off to college next year and I want to have one last big vacation with him...THis is the most we have ever paid but it is three times the normal price for that week.
If it is your first cruise get an inside stateroom. Because once you get a balcony you will never go back to an inside room. Cruising is the best way to get the most for your dollar....Our teens love it...
Thanks everyone. Dh wants an
Thanks everyone. Dh wants an inside room as he is afraid if he sees us moving he might get sick. I will make sure to bring him something. My mil said not to go to jamacca as they hound you to death to buy stuff. Idk but i would lovebthat one.
It will be jist me and dh so we will not be doing disney we just went to disney this year anyway.
I want lots of romantic stul lol. I just cant wait
They are so friendly in
They are so friendly in Jamiaca. Seriously, it depends on where you go. I have done Jamaica three times and love it...Great port. They are fine there, but they are trying to make a living and you know you would buy that t-shirts somewhere....Jamaica is one of my favorites and I have done it as a port and as a destination with Sandals. Dunn's river is really fun. Also, where else could you try a local restaurant and get to eat goat...
If you want romance, Sandals may be the route. Cruise is not really what I would do for romance. Unless, you book the romantic restaurants.
