Should weekly or bi-weekly hair care (Girl) be covered in the CS that is received?

I don't know if Alabama has a weird hair law that doesn't apply anywhere else in the country. But Haircare would not seem to be a split expense. Seems to whomever took her to the hairdresser should pay the bill.

LOL don't tell me you got a bill from BM for haircare HA HA HA

CS is set up so that a portion is supposed to cover shelter, food, clothing, etc. Necessities. I don't think hair cair is supposed to be covered by CS in any state unless maybe it is deemed medically necessary.

Hiya,

In SC, we do not have a state law that specifically states what CS is supposed to be used for.

Thus, if your hubby is sending CS money to his EX then she may use it however she deems fit---unless of course you can find a state law that stipulates exactly how CS can be spent. Then you would have to take the issue to family court to be resolved, with proof of expenses of course.

Now, if your hubby is paying out of his own pocket---over and above CS---for these weekly haircuts then that is his personal choice. Personally I would not want him paying for such superficial items that do not truly benefit the child's well-being.

Hope that helps you out.

Take care,
Anne
