2 days to go.....

Raven's picture

I'm savoring these last 2 days of freedom. In 2 days time I will be trying to stay out of the house as long as is humanly possible and then camping out in my room. I try not to force myself to stay away, why should I when it is my home? But the crappy atmosphere and having to watch my son get treated like garbage is just not worth not letting them win.

Trying not to think about it, but it is all I can think about. Ugh.

I used to camp out in my room a lot when the SDs were younger, so I can sympathise. Fortunately, now they are teenagers they tend to stick to their room more.

How old is your son? Do you keep him on the bedroom with you, or is he fending for himself while you are hiding?

He is 5. I don't camp out in my room until he is in bed. We go out for most of the day then when he goes to bed I go to my room.

My BS is 3, and I do the same thing. I take him (and the baby) out with me whenever I can, and I have to be near him at all times when we are home. I don't get to relax at all and let my guard down until everyone goes to bed. I make up errands, and purposely "forget" things I need at the store to justify another trip out the next day.

I never leave my kids home alone with Dh and the skids.

I am driving around the block, taking phone calls in the car and hide in our room...only if my own kids are not there though.
