My weekend :)

Happy Monday everyone! Yeah, blech, I know. I hate it too.

Had an awesome weekend. Met DH at home after work Friday, packed an overnight bag and jumped in the truck for an adventure. Got to Manitou Springs (LOVE it there) just as the sun set. Drove through the town to our hotel (www.cliffhouse.com) and it was gorgeous! Beautiful old stately place, built in the 1800's! So pretty.

Had valet park the truck then went up to our room to check it out. Very pretty and comfy bed! Went down to tour the bar/grill, but it was pretty empty so we set out to tour the town. Walked all around, talked to a few people and hit the mexican place called The Loop where we shared a quesadilla and 3 very HUGE and strong margaritas! Got a bit tipsy, walked back through town to the room.

Next morning, got up and had a great breakfast in their dining room, walked through the town again into all the little shops. Stopped for some fudge, relaxed on the patio set in front of the store. Checked out of the hotel and headed home for a nap Smile Went out to eat and then the mall to get my rings cleaned and buy something new at Victoria's Secret. Headed back home for a quiet evening.

Sunday, stopped at DH's grandparents and visited with them and his dad for a little while. It was my friend's daughter's 18th birthday so we went to their place and had a great time visiting with them.

Great weekend. Now I'm just exhausted, wishing I had ONE MORE DAY!

We had a great time. Lord only knows when we'll get that chance again. His first meeting with BM and her attorney about raising child support is on April 4th, and if my daughter decides to move in with us full time this summer, we're gonna be quite broke for the next few years!

So fun! We relaxed and had a great time, but since I'm not a good sleeper and don't sleep well especially in new places, I slept very little Friday night in the hotel. I tried to nap with DH on Saturday afternoon, but I'm not much of a napper and couldn't really get to sleep. Saturday night, I slept mostly on the couch because DH was snoring so badly and then last night, his CPAP machine was whistling and leaking air no matter which way he turned (he has sleep apnea) so that kept me up most of last night.

It was so nice and relaxing. Only thing that could've made it better would've been the jacuzzi suite, but they were booked that night!

I am glad you had a good weekend! Sounds really nice. I am a tad bit jealous. In the 3 years that my husband and I have been together we have never went on so much as a weekend get away let a lon a vacation. Nope. Nada. Nothing. I love Colorado. Before I married him, the last big trip I took was to Keystone to ski. I never wanted to leave!
