Just getting it out
I have dealt with all sorts of medical stuff all through my life. That's what I do, deal with stuff. It's no wonder my parents stopped having children after me. On the light end I have allergies and asthma, and they only rear their ugly heads in spring and autumn. But did I really need to have a brain hemorrhage at 18 months which gave me a brain injury that caused me to suffer with epilepsy since. Then there was the brain surgery when I was 11 years old. That was a delight, total paralysis of my right side?, sounds great.
I have got aroud pretty well for 30 years. Most of the time with my cane and a brace, sometimes with two braces, ankle and knee. Then the government took away my disabily tax credit because I'm not disabled enough for them. You see I can walk further than 30 meters, with my cane and braces, and they even throw in rest periods too just to make it easier to be disqualified. It hit us hard to lose that, it was a non-refundable credit but it lowered our taxable income.
I now have a hard time finding employment out of our home. That's why I have a stained glass workshop in my basement. I just need to find shops to sell it.
That's all. Thanks.

Even Breaks
Dear Sherrylyn,
I know how hard it must be for you to try and find employment outside your home. It seems like with the government you can't ever get an even break. But I bet you do beautiful work with the stained glass. I just have a feeling that you are quite gifted. Have you thought about selling any on consignment or on E-bay? I still have problems with my right ankle that hasn't healed properly since I took the 10 foot dive through the ceiling and dislocated and had a compound fracture of my right tibia and fibula. I just went to the orthopedist a month ago and all the screws are loose, and he has told my primary care physician that the tendons in my right ankle are completely toasted. I have found a lot of difficulty myself trying to get employment so I can empathize. You have a lot of strength. Have you thought about getting a government business loan?
If you are interested in more information, let me know. Also, the job service in your area should be able to help you more, especially with re-training into a different profession if that's what you're interested in. Honestly, I think that with your talent, you'd be better off getting the business loan and it would also help you tremendously with your taxes. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.
Regards,
Sweetie
Thanks Sweetie
The empathy is very much appreciated. You know it wasn't until about 6 years ago when it started to affect what I could do, especially with walking. In turn I've put on about 7 kg (15 lbs). I guess that is in the mix of what is bothering me as well.
I will gladly take any information, it will allow me to see if anything is suited to my situation. I am associated with a employment service for people with any type of disability that in turn makes it difficult to find employment. They're okay. I have had some longer term jobs from them.
Sherrylyn-Info for Small Business/Job Search
Hi Sherrylynn,
Did you want to give me a different email so that I can send you more detailed information about getting a business loan? I think that this is an avenue that you should definitely explore. Honestly, I think that you have an excellent opportunity to get one. But the information is more detailed and I need more space to explain it. Also, I wanted to tell you more about the job service program and see if your area has tried to help you cross train and assist you into training in a different field. Let me know how you want to work this because I will gladly help you any way I can.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Sweetie
