Making up time...
Well DH is making up time with SD tonight. Yippeee! 
I've really enjoyed the break from her. According to him SD is really messed up with this concussion. Stuttering and can't walk on her own. Why insist on coming over then? Why not wait until she feels better? If she can't walk and talk it won't be much of a quality visit.
Maybe SD really does have a concussion. Given her past with medical stuff and faking it is still hard for me to believe. I guess I'll get to see how she is tonight. At least he is returning her to BM at 8pm since it isn't his regularly scheduled weekend with her and he works tomorrow.
I know that SD is his kid and he loves her and wants time with her but I hate the whole "making up time" crap. It is usually made up at BM's convenience. I'm sure that BM is flipping out b/c she hasn't had a break from her child. BM had a slight episode of crazy on Thurs when DH refused to pick SD up from BM's parents house....the last time he did that BM's dad threatened him in front of SD. I knew it was about time for a BM break down. She hasn't had her normal breaks from SD and it is hard for her to play Saint Mommy for too long!

That is how I feel. I will feel bad if she really does have a concussion. I just struggle very hard to believe she does. First of all she didn't even fall or hit her head when this concussion occured so that makes me skeptical but also the fact that it is BM and SD claiming this. I have seen SD's searches in her phones for symptoms of other injuries she has claimed to have in the past. I have a 6 page word document that I've been saving and updating at work with all of SD's "injuries" and that is just from the end of 2017 when I decided to start documenting it. Plus the fact that just weeks ago we were really concerned that my son might have a concussion because he was physically attacked, slammed into the concrete floor and hit multiple times in the head. Of course DH wasn't that concerned about my ODS having one but he has been worried sick about SD. Which I guess I can also see b/c I am far less worried about SD having one than I was about my son.

I'm so curious as to what the story is of how she got the concussion. If she's having trouble walking and stuttering this sounds pretty severe, you would almost think she was playing football without any pads on and got body slammed by a huge linebacker straight onto her head.

Yes, if that's the case she should be in the hospital, or at the very least, resting in a darkened room doing nothing. Not even talking. YSD had a concussion a year or so ago and that's what happened - it wasn't even too severe.

Supposedly it happened at indoor soccer (if you look at my previous blogs you will see that I called her getting an injury soon from this). DH is very fuzzy with detail b/c of course he believes everything SD says even though she has been caught lying on so many occasions. According to DH's version that he got from SD and BM she was playing one on one with another girl and BM called her off the field b/c she was acting funny. It seems to me that no one saw her fall or even hit her head based on this story. I don't think a simple collision with another player would have this dramatic of an injury. Especially when my son was slammed into the ground and punched repeatedly and had no major head injury. I know every case is different but it seems very fishy. She has been out of school all week and will probably be out next week also......

One of my best friends who I
One of my best friends who I played soccer with in high school got a severe concussion while playing indoor soccer. She got hit in the back of the head with a soccer ball. She never stuttered or had difficulty walking - she had headaches, inability to focus, fell up the stairs a lot, was very sensitive to light and noise - stuff like that. It took her over a year to be back to normal. But she was seeing doctors, doing nothing in a dark room for a few weeks, no school, no screens, no reading.
So if your SD *really* has a concussion and is stuttering and can't walk as a result of it, she shouldn't be coming over. She should be seeing a concussion specialist and sitting in a dark, quiet room with no stimulation, resting her brain. SMH that BM isn't all over this.
Exactly! I know that you can
Exactly! I know that you can absolutely get a concussion from playing sports but it usually is a result of a fall or an actual hit and based on the info I received that didn't happen. DH also goes into defense mode when he thinks his wittle precious is being treated unfairly...he got upset the other day when I didn't act all worried about her. Yet he didn't act worried about ODS. I think deep down he knows that his kid is a liar and gets defensive b/c he knows I don't believe her when it comes to this stuff.
I also agree if it is this severe a week after the incident she definitely should still be in bed with BM not coming over to my house. My house is pretty chaotic right now with our new dog. It is loud and crazy. Exactly the type of stuff she should be avoiding!

If she's stuttering and having trouble walking, DH should take her to the ED immediately. Seriously. Let her put on her act for the doctors there.
AND, she really should not play sports anymore if she's had such a severe concussion - it's too dangerous.
She's developing quite the case of Factitious Disorder.
