Am I the only one that wants justice?
I sent a submission to the state fraud prevention website informing them that BM may have failed to update her information (the site says you have 10 days to report changes in income and household) She got a new job 10 months ago and married 8 months ago but still get assistance from the state for 'low income family'. So sick of her getting away with this crap and FDH not doing anything about it.
I posted yesterday a 'What would you do' and I agreed with you guys - as a tax payer it isn't fair. So I sent a short 'letter' to the state fraud website form. I gave them all my info as well but asked to remain anonymous.
But I didn't tell FDH what I did. I ran the idea of what BM was doing by him and he just said that she was stupid and time will tell if she gets busted. I suggested that he tell the school that he makes to much for the kids to get assistance (we just found out they get free lunch and summer school) but he just said MAYBE he would.
Freakin' do it! I told him that I didn't want it to come back and bite him/us in the butt.
It's just like when BM took him for $100 bucks over a medical bill that was for HER. Yeah we got the money back but that is FRAUD!
Now she said there was another bill for ss4 but she paid it - hello call the doc and find out if that is true.
Grrrrr!
I hope she gets nails for fraud this time and fined. She is the one the screwed up and I hope she doesn't drag FDH into it but if she does my thinking lately is he has it coming too for NOT doing something about it as well.

I reported BM for fraud and it turned out she had SD on her food stamps when SD did not live with her. We had to prove SD lived with us and the court order was not good enough.
Do you think they did a damn thing to her hell no. She didn't even have to pay the money back or prove that SD was living with her. It was all on us to prove she lived here.

Yeah, DH's BM is a fraud all the way...from tax to immigration fraud, she's a pro. This year she claimed the kids on her taxes even though they didn't live with her last year. We've been warned by IRS and are waiting to see how the situation plays out. I hope she gets nailed because if they prosecute her then she is eligible for deportation. I may not live with my H much longer, but if she gets kicked out of the U.S., I will be throwing a massive party.
You have every right to report her, I only wish I had the balls to do the same.

Once I told DH that she claimed on her food stamps that he was "non existant" so she could get 100% support for SS, and that if they find out he IS in existance they will make HIM pay them back, he was ALL FOR me turning her in. I was sure to state that DH was the one reporting her because he doesn't want to be responsible for her fraudulant ways, and he has him 50%+ of the time. I don't know how they handled it internally, but a few weeks later BM told me she was cut off from food stamps. We didn't have to prove anything.
It is possible that they questioned her about it, and she just withdrew her request for assistance to avoid being investigated.

I turned our BM in too. They did nothing. She is still getting well over $600 month on her food stamps. Fraud...... 100%. But it did no good turning in. I even had her SO work info and everything. Nothing was done. Next time we go and we have to hear about how they had to buy ANOTHER freezer for all their food I think I might punch her in the face.

as frustrating as it may be, you may want to focus your attention on something more productive for you than damaging to assface bm.
i agree, it's total BS, our bm takes the gubment (j/k on spelling) for a ride, too. but there is nothing i can do about it and have decided not to waste my time, energy and happiness dwelling on it.
is she a pos? yes. is she teaching skids to be useless pos's, too? yes. do i care? yes. do i hate people that take advantage of the system? yes. can i fix it? no.
AND as long as she is milking the government, very hard for her to take dh back to court for more cs. if she did, well, hopefully due to the economy and the way are taxes are now done, she would get the same or less, but her fraud would damn sure be exposed. this way i don't think we went after her, the opportunity was begging to be taken.
I am sure not much will come
I am sure not much will come of it but it makes me feel better. Yeah I HOPE she gets busted because when she does it 'won't be her fault' I am sure - lol. It's always someone elses fault you know.
If I only get one thing out of it I would like that to question her on it, it sets her off and once she realizes that she has messed up she avoid that at all costs. A few months ago a doc caught her in a lie suddenly he wasn't a very good doctor and they should find someone else, even though he come highly recommended.
