why do the questions that BM ask still shock me?
they are stupid beyond belief I just shake my head and laugh.
This week SS7 got invited to a birthday party and he really wanted to go but it was on Sunday during the time that we usually switch with BM so DH called her, he really wanted SS7 to go because he had NO friends other than SS5 if you can count siblings. He told BM that I had met the kids mother at the library and we exchanged numbers. Her first question/comment.
"I don't think we should let him go, I don't know them and I don't recognize that last name, they could be drug dealers."
Really? We live in a smallish town, with little to no crime how to do get 'drug dealer'? DH managed to talk her into letting SS7 go. But he asked me what I thought of the mother when I met her, she seemed very nice so I told him that he could take SS7 to the party and meet the parents.
He did and come to find out the mother is a lunch lady at the middle school NOT a drug dealer, unless she is starting them really young. lol

Oh he did - they had a blast and DH told the lunch lady that I was a SAHM so during the summer we are going to try to set up a play date or two.

BM has had many stupid
BM has had many stupid remarks escape from her lips but the most recent has me wanting to slap her so hard the plaque flies off her teeth.
During exchange of SS8, DH asks BM why she won't allow SS to watch Scarface.
BM: "There's just sooo much violence in that movie."
DH: "There's violence in Casino and Goodfellas, and Natural Born Killers, but you let him watch those!"
BM: "Well, there's also the D-R-U-G-S. [yes, she spelled it out] I don't want him to see all of that."
I looked at her like she sprouted a third arm and her head was spinning. This is the same woman who was CAUGHT by SS8 taking bong hits with his older brother (17) and sister (19). She is more worried about how a MOVIE is going to influence her son than by how her OWN drug use will. GAH!
