just posted but have a question
this does not involve skids, or bkids, or parents on either side, but my best friends son who is a COMPLETE jack a$$! when my dh and i "babysit" the kids they are good but they also know we're not catering to the bs son throws-as long as parents are not there, we have control over them and they are good. they came over for Christmas and wern't there 5 MIN and her son started in and omg mom and dad let him argue and be a complete jerk off. in my opinion he didn't deserve SQUAT for christmas but still got mp3 player, and much more and even when he came into my house and saw that my kids got less than he did and my daughter is VERY well behaved and deserves so much more than i could afford to get her he has the balls to say "our tree is bigger than yours, and i got more stuff than they did"...i'm really hurt by this and mom didn't slap the shit out of him instead he went and set in a corner the entire time we were there, and he couldn't WAIT to leave to go see gma where he was getting more christmas!!!
she wants us to come over for new year but i really don't know what i think about that because even my 8 year old daughter and skids are tired of his crap....i love my friendship with her, but i can't STAND her son. i want to tell her that what he said really hurt, and the fact that they didn't do more knowing my dh and my financial situation, they STILL didn't do a lot about it.

Maybe she said something when
Maybe she said something when they got home. (???) You are in a tough spot--it's hard to tell friends that their kids are brats!
I'm thinking that I would have said something to the kid.. since you babysit and all, you could have given him a gentle.. teaching moment..or two.
true, and no it's not really
true, and no it's not really a tough spot, but this kid gets away with murder
