It amazes me how BM can inflict such havoc in such little time

step off already's picture

Last night after SS13's 10 min call with BM, his attitude changed. DH sat at the table eating dinner with him and said SS was "freaking out", had butterflies in his stomach and looked like he was about to cry. DH asked him if he missed his mom and he said no. Something must have taken place on the call because SS was now too afraid to watch tv alone upstairs.

This is the same BM that has been absent from ss's life for 7 years, left SS and DH for another woman (whim she now lives with but "she's jut a friend"), only started coming around when I became involved with dH and now sees SS eowe. This is the same BM that told SS that when our new baby arrived, DH wouldn't love him anymore and wouldn't have time for him. Same BM that we have a restraining order against due to her vandalizing property and violent, crazy behavior.

Things have Been pretty calm since we filed a police report against her in may for breakig the RO. I told DH that I'm sure she'd start something when the baby came and that would just be another hiccup that we'd need to deal with.

Two nights ago I woke up with contractions but it was a false alarm. We still prepared the kids that the baby may come a little early. I think SS may have mentioned this to his mom during the call.

Another thing on my mind is ss's first visits w his counselor. Prior to the appt, SS told DH that he "didn't see how this was going to help anything". DH juts told him that's it's always good to have someone you can talk to. SS made that statement because he wants things to go back to the way they were when it was just him and dad.

During the appt, DH and SS were in together with the counselor and the counselor mentioned that dad used to play the role of the friend. Now DH is acting more like a father. DH and SS both agreed.

Thats all I got for now. Chime in if you like Smile
