It was Dh's bday this week. I just so happened that I had to leave on the morning of his bday for a quick work trip and would return the next day. I gave kids marching orders to buy some cup cakes at the baker down the street and gave all the kids (mine and SS) a card, asked them to write a nice note to DH and to celbrate after dinner with the cards, a gift that was arriving from UPS that day and the cupcakes.

I arrive home and see all the kid's cards in a pile, but not a card from SS.

I ask DH if SS gave him one and he says he can't remember.

The next day I was in SS's room checking to make sure it was clean before he headed to BM's for two weeks and low and behold - the blank card was sitting right there on his desk untouched.

Douche.

Sad that my kids give DH more love than his own son does (who lives with us ft).
