I took my first ever pregnancy test last night, and it is positive! Then I took another one this morning...the lines are even darker.

This was definitely not in the immediate plan, and I was only off birth control for one month (I missed picking it up in time to start it so figured we'd be careful)...and we had one 'slip'...and now I'm pregnant. Don't ever believe those stories about how if you've been on birth control for however long (10 years for me) that it takes awhile to get out of your system before you could get pregnant! UNtrue!

However, I'm very at peace right now, knowing I have OUR baby growing in my belly. I suddenly feel at ease...and I love DF so much more suddenly. We are engaged, in love, and already raising a family (his kids), and we had plans to have our own child soon after our wedding anyway. Life throws you a curve ball every once in awhile
