Does anyone out there have "theme songs" for different times in your life?
Or am I just weird?
I'm very much into music, so I find music very comforting for different times in my life.
Like here's one song, that I have felt I have been on both sides of... One, me trying to change someone I loved (very unsuccessfully, I may add) ... and the same song where I knew someone was trying to change me... but they couldn't ... no matter how hard they tried...
Do you have any songs that you would consider to be on "Ipod of Your Life"?
"Can't Change Me by Chris Cornell"
She can do anything at all
Have anything she pleases
The power to change what she thinks is wrong
So what could she want with me?
But wait just one minute here
I can see that shes trying to read me
Suddenly I know
Shes going to change the world
But she cant change me
No she cant change me
She has the daylight at her command
She gives the night its dreams
She can uncover your darkest fear
And make you forget you feel it
But wait just one minute more
I can see that shes trying to free me
Suddenly I know
Shes going to change the world
But she cant change me
Suddenly I can see everything thats wrong with me
But what can I do?
Im the only thing I really have at all
But wait just one minute here
I can see that shes trying to need me
Suddenly I know
Shes going to change the world
But she cant change me
No she cant change me

Here's another one... "Home"
Here's another one... "Home" by Staind.... This was me about 8 or 9 years ago...
I force myself through another day
Cant explain the way today just fell apart like everything
Right in my face
And I try to be the one
I can't accept this all because of you
I've had to walk away
From everything
I'm afraid to be alone
Afraid you'll leave me when I'm gone
I'm afraid to come back home
Another sleepless night again
Hotel rooms my only friend
And friends like that just don't add up
To anything
And I try so hard to be everything
That I should never take away from you again
'Cause I heard ya say
I'm afraid to be alone
Afraid you'll leave me when I'm gone
I'm afraid to come back home
I cannot forget
I live with regret
I cannot forget
I live with...
I'll live through this
I can't see through this
I can't do this anymore
I'm afraid to be alone
Afraid you'll leave me when I'm gone
I'm afraid to come back home
Afraid you'll leave me when I'm gone
I just wish I was back home

I love the country song:
I love the country song: God Bless the Broken Road That Led me Straight to You. By Rascal Flatts.
We have all been down a broken road in our lives. Some of us are probably still going down that road.
But, this song reminds me of where I am now and how hard it was to get here, but without all my past experiences, I would not appreciate what I have now.
**my stepdaughters did not grow in my tummy, they grew in my heart**
I have a theme song that
I have a theme song that represents my whole life: Turn! Turn! Turn! by the Byrds. It's lyrics are from Chapter 3, Ecclesiastes, vs. 1-8. There's a time for everything. If you haven't heard it I suggest you check it out- it's great!
Currently I feel like my
Currently I feel like my Theme song is
"I started a joke". It reflects best what I feel at the moment. I'm not a depressive person but the situation in my House is becoming unbearable and I feel like everything is slipping out of my hands...
I started a joke, which started the whole world crying,
But I didn't see that the joke was on me, oh no.
I started to cry, which started the whole world laughing,
Oh, if Id only seen that the joke was on me.
I looked at the skies, running my hands over my eyes,
And I fell out of bed, hurting my head from things that Id said.
Til I finally died, which started the whole world living,
Oh, if Id only seen that the joke was on me.
I looked at the skies, running my hands over my eyes,
And I fell out of bed, hurting my head from things that Id said.
til I finally died, which started the whole world living,
Oh, if Id only seen that the joke was one me.
I don't believe in
I don't believe in self-pity
It only brings you down
May be the queen of broken hearts
But I don't hide behind the crown
When the deck is stacked against me
I just play a different game
My roots are planted in the past
And though my life is changin' fast
Who I am is who I wanna be
Repeat Chorus
A single mom who works two jobs
Who loves her kids and never stops
With gentle hands and the heart of a fighter
I'm a survivor
Reba McEntire
I'm not single anymore but I'm still a survivor
When I was having the
When I was having the hardest of times: Bring on the rain: "tomorrow's another day, I'm thirsty anyway, so bring on the rain"
Now, "don't blink, life goes faster then you think..."
this is my new theme song..
this is my new theme song..
This Is Who I Am lyrics
{Verse1}
I spend my life
Trying to do things right
but all I do is fall to my face with my hands and my hips so many times
but then I learned
after being burnt
to get back up, push straight on, stop the tears,
people move on
ooonnnn
{Chorus}
Well it's alright to be myself
Now I've Learned To Stand
Well its OK to be just who I am
I've spent years really hating men
longing to be friends (friends)
Now I hope that you can
understand,
This Is Who I Am
{Verse 2}
Now when life gets tough
I'm quick to hurry up
I run all day
I run through the night
I'll break down walls, I'll hit up high
I don't care if I'm fat,
Or if you think my clothes are bad
Yet i can go to sleep at night I'm a good person and I'll get by, I!!
{Chorus}
Well it's alright to be myself,
Now I've Learned To Stand
Well its OK to be just who I am
I've spent years really hating me
longing to be friends (friends)
Now I hope that you can understand,
This Is Who I Am
{Verse 3}
I need someone, someone someone, someone like me
You deserve, deserve, deserve to have me
Because your world keeps spinning
And don't try to turn it
{Chorus}
Well it's alright to be myself,
Now I've Learned To Stand
Well its OK to be just who I am!
I've spent years really hating me
longing to be friends (friends)
Now I hope that you can understand
This Is Who I Am
yyeaaahhhhhh, yeah yeah
This is who I am!
Oh, take a breather this is who I ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah Am
I don't have any theme songs
I don't have any theme songs but I can reflect on different times in my life when I hear certain songs and based on what I was doing at that time, I can tell you what year the song came out.
