That Woman! Ha! I saw her name and had to write this post..
Recently, SD went to visit BM's mom who is in a nursing home and will live the rest of her life there. Nasty 80 something year old old Italian woman from the old country.
For the longest time, "Nana" had a really poor attitude about DH. He was nothing, blah blah. Well, recently, since she has been in the hospital, she has been acting kinder about DH and always asks SD how he is doing, what he is doing, where he is, etc.
Up until the other day, we thought that Nana was asking SD about DH because she is in and out, she does have dementia. So we thought that Nana had "forgotten" about the divorce.
The other day Nana asked SD, "How is your dad doing?" And SD says "Fine, Nana, he's doing good." Then Nana says, "Is he making a lot of money??" And SD says, "He's working Nana." Because she knows better than to answer anything about money to that family.
Then Nana says "And how is THAT WOMAN?" (Meaning me) And SD is stuck because in the room are old Nana in the hospital, BM, and her sister that really hates me! So SD stands her ground and says "She's good Nana. She's a nice lady." And Nana says to her "She's no good for you!" Meaning of course, I am no good for SD.
SD came home all upset and was worried about telling me and DH. But we both laughed it off. Yes, I am no good for SD. I who cook her dinner every night, get her to school, make sure she's getting taken care of , hahahahaha
Whatever. SD said that BM and her sister both froze because they weren't sure what SD was going to do - get angry, tell Nana off, get mad at her mom? And SD handled it with Grace. She just looked away and didn't talk to her, and let it go. She expressed her anger to DH and I, but pretty much let it go. And that's FINE with DH and I. She doesn't need to fight that battle for us. DH and I are more than happy to take on BM and her stupid ass family!
I thought it was funny. And when I saw "That Woman's" name on here, I had to write!

DPW - I love it! Yes, Can I
DPW - I love it! Yes, Can I have a big TW to wear around?? What was pretty funny after was when SD told me that she wanted to say to Nana... "Do you mean my mom?" Because that's what SD sometimes calls her mom (when she is angry, and we try to 'break' her of).
