Planned Parenthood, SD, and DH's "pride"
In light of today's events, this just cracks me up.
SD got a certificate for medical assisting. She "wants" front office, but we all know it's a minimum wage job emptying bedpans. 
She is and has been working at a fast food joint.
She apparently interviewed and turned down at job at Planned Parenthoo. (I'm not sure I believe there was an offer, but whatever."
She turned it down. She was telling daddy all about how her morals don't line up with Planned Parenthood and she didn't want to work there.
He was telling me this. LAST NIGHT. I snickered and asked what went against her "morals." Handing out birth control? Isn't that a GOOD thing? Counseling?
DH was all proud of his little princess for having morals and standing up for them.
Then today, he finds out she's pregnant.
I spat out, "wow, guess she really IS against birth control!! Must be why Planned Parenthood isn't acceptable to her!" and then felt like a bitch.
DH was all, man, I was so wrong. I thought she was being all noble and good.

I have a friend who started as a receptionist at planned parenthood. She managed to work herself up to training others and now makes $19.00.

At least you guys have moved away and you won't be asked to babysit all the time. If this was me DH would be blaming himself for working too much and not being around all the time. It totally would not be SD's fault. Little princess can do no wrong.

I feel bad for the baby. Once she realizes how much money she can get for one child, she may want more kids!!

Omg. Truth really can be far stranger than fiction. Oh, the irony!! Thing is, you probably saw this coming a long time ago. Do you know yet what her plans are? I know you've only just been informed, so it may be too soon. Is she at least in a serious, mature-ish relationship?

Maybe the most surprising thing about all of this is that SD called DH to tell him.

I have bitched at my DH about his daughter so much I know that if it happens to her it will be hard for me not to repeat every thing I have told him over the years was gonna happen happened!! He is one of those that honestly thinks his princess would not have sex. Just blows me away. I bought my son condoms and left them in his drawer when he was a teenager. I knew my son was no different than every other red blooded amercian teenager even though he had been "raised right"!!!

I used to work at PP, years ago. They are very careful/selective about interviews and hiring. I doubt she even got through the door.

LMBO....Totally loving the irony of SD "claiming" she turned down a job at PP because of her "morals" yet she is an unwed pregnant teenager co-habitating with her bf and obviously having pre-marital sex.
I feel bad for your DH that he got a swift kick in the balls by SD making him proud one second about her having morals then basically doing a 180 with her "I'm pregnant" announcement.
The part that really gets
The part that really gets me:
1. BM has been a BITCH about getting and US paying for SD's birth control. Actually took DH to court over it. (WTF???) So, DH has been paying for BC since SD was 14. (What kind of tramp is slutting around at FOURTEEN?!?)
2. BM (and DH) were teens when they got preggers with their first kid (SS.) BM has been ADAMANT to SD that she will NOT follow in her footsteps. Back when SD and I had a somewhat decent relationship, she would bitch about her mom making her take BC and how she wasn't going to get preggers and wanted her mom to back off. I would remind her that her mom wants better for her than what she did...
***BM moved SD's boyfriend in months ago, so they can live as man and wife and f*ck like bunnies UNDER BM'S NOSE!!!***
