People control your kids!

I took SD15 and DD6 with me to the nail salon so we could relax and get some pedicures. This woman comes in with 4 little ones. Really? Let me be judgy for a moment. If you couldn't find a sitter or something than maybe you should put off getting your nails done. JMO. I'm not going to get into a pissing match commenting back and forth with you guys on the many reasons why she might not have had anyone to watch her kids. These are just my opinions. If DD could not control herself I would not bring her and if no one could watch her oh well guess I have to paint my own nails.

These little kids were acting like a 3 ring circus. The range from probably 4 months old to 7 years old. The baby in the stroller squealing the kids running around touching the nail polishes, climbing on the chairs, playing with the little water hose thingy they use to fill the foot baths. All the time the mom is obnoxiously yelling ( not their real names>>>) " tim put that down, laura you want a time out when we get home, bobby that's a no no, tim I said get down do you want me to call dad"? I'm just taking deep breaths. I just don't have the patience for people. I look over at DD6 sitting quietly with her face mask on ( So the fumes won't hurt her nose) coloring in her coloring book getting her toenails painted lady bug red with black dots just as quiet and content as she wants to be. Now DD knows not to even try showing her butt like that. I just give her the look and finger point. UGGGGGGGH just my rant and opinions for the day. IMO if you can't handle your kids don't take them to a public place unless absolutely necessary. Especially at a nails and spa place where people are trying to relax.

I'm with you. I've got four of my own and for me to go out is a rare treat. I don't get a sitter/make arrangements to hear your brats screaming. I could have stayed home to have that!!!!

I'm with you! I'm paying for a relaxing, soothing mani/pedi and kids running around screaming, while a parent yells at them, is not a relaxing environment. My cousin does this all the time with her 3 kids, then gets upset when people give her dirty looks. Control your kids and do your nails at home, or get a sitter or their father to watch them.

Your not going to hear me argue, I feel the same way as you do about that! Restaurants are becoming a bad experience for DH and I to go to anymore. We started calling in to place our orders and take the dinners home to eat. Sad to hear that out of control kids are being taken to nail salons though.. Sad

Ugh! Why do people do this? My BS3 knows better than to act like that. On the rare occasion that he gets fussy, we leave. I refuse to ruin other people's time by allowing my kid to be loud and obnoxious. Running around like that would be a sure fire way for BS3 to get his butt spanked.

ETA: BS3 will actually give dirty looks to kids who are misbehaving in public. It is a huge relief to me that he gets annoyed by other kids who are not behaving in public. Blum 3

Hey, I totally agree with you, 100%!!! I hate seeing kids act so horrible with passive 'parents' anywhere in public, much less somewhere you go to actually relax...ugh. And forget about annoying other people, I can't think of putting my OWN self through that nightmare, yuck!! But I would imagine its actually more challenging for people who actually actively 'parent' their kids. When my very curious and energetic son was little, I wouldn't even dream of going anywhere like that with him, I even avoided the grocery stores if possible lol!

LOL, this really hit a nerve today! I work at a big teaching hospital on a high acuity floor. Today a patient family member came in with her 3 kids and seemed to think it was ok to make the nurses watch the 3 under 10's while she sat playing on her phone. Errrr....no! Apart from the fact of what the kids could catch, they should not be running up and down the corridors screaming and yelling, and we are busy! And no, we do not have time to entertain your kids when we have pts who are coding on us. Sorry, get lost!

Seriously, some people have no idea. If I go to a nail salon, I want the experience as well as good nails! I do not go there to listen to your kids! People really need to get a clue, and recognize if it is going badly, leave! I would with BS7...if he caused a scene I would just go!

I have 7, and my youngest two are 3 1/2 and 1 1/2. I just don't do stuff like that unless another parent can do kid duty for a little while. It's a nightmare for me, and for everyone else involved.

Why don't people with little bitty ones pattern their day around the kid? They aren't little forever, and guess what? I haven't had my nails done in about 10 years. It isn't hurting me AT ALL.

Why don't people parent their kids? My kids went EVERYWHERE with me, they never ever acted like that. My 3 kids are my whole world, but my dirty little secret is...... I don't like other peoples' kids. I pretty much hate kids lol. I want to kill kids (and their parents)who act up in public. }:)

I did not have my tubes tied to put up with someones else's ill-behaved brats.
