i know this is a blog subject that makes its rounds from time to time, but we've gotten a few newer members since. i love some of the kids' nicknames on here, and thought it may be fun to share how we came up with these. also curious if u use them at home! i dont really use their nicknames on here just for clarity and laziness, but we do use them at home.

no nickname for oss. MIL pas'd him out.

mss15 - lurch. the kid hit 6' at 14 y.o.

yss,stb12 - i'd call him pinball from time to time. but dh and some of mss' friends came up with a new one - Captain Underpants. for the love of god and all that is holy, it is like immortal HELL to get him to put freaking shorts on!!!! he was running around the other day in just his boxers, and had his blanket pulled up around his neck like a cape. and thus Captain Underpants was born!

SD17- Miss Nasty (she's a filthy slob)
SS16- Punk Boy (he's mister gangsta wanna be).. actually had the quote "ganja is perfession" on his instagram page.. obviously school and being a productive member of society is sooper importent to him.

SD12 is BabyVoice.

I think I will call SS17 Alice - because he looks like Alice Cooper, dark black hair, dark eyes and pasty white skin. And while he doesn't own a snake, he IS a snake.

SS15 is totally in to tae kwon do. I will call him Karate Kid.

Puke because SD15 makes me want to vomit any time she is around or hear her voice or someone mentions her name. I do not call her this around the house. It's my own special nickname. Usually around the house it's her. I can't even stand saying her name. Daddeee has a sickening sweet nickname for her that I won't put you through. :sick:

I don't have a nickname for my SD but as much as she lies, I'm thinking about referring to her as Pinocchio. This girl lies about the dumbest things and she's so horrible at it.

She either thinks she's good at it or thinks that my DH is just too stupid to know she's lying. Or both. And he busts her all the time.

Not nicknames, but lately when i talk to SO about SD5, I use; Miss Bossy Boots. The future narcissistic asshole. Junk machine. Temper tot.

Since using those, SO has stepped up his parenting, he don't like how I describe his daughter, but I told him that only way to change it, is to ACTIVELY PARENT his kid!

Pumpkinhead (OSS stb 19) PASed out and actually out of the BM's house (emancipated himself)
Is a pot head, works part time on a food truck owned by one of the Girhippo's relatives making smoothies (otherwise he wouldn't have got the job had he not had the Girhippo's "pull")
Has fantasies about being a rock star
Barely passed high school just a hair above failing (pity grade)
Got his drivers license last year but it's now revoked for too many violations
Enrolled in community college, took the grant money and student loans then dropped out in three months. Looks like he used the money on a new set of drums.

Pumpkinhead because he has a completely round, featureless face (no bone structure or colouring)

Dominatrix (SD stb 17) PASed out and enmeshed with the Girhippo. She has a very domineering, bossy, see you next tuesday attitude as she is spoiled beyond belief. Often posts in FB that she "gets what she wants, PERIOD!" Will probably be donning flannel shirts and doc marten shoes whilst being hauled off on camera (COPS) for beating her wife.

Prince Hygiene (YSS 12.5) PASed out and just an all around icky kid. Creepy and a major attention whore. Wasn't taught one iota of manners or hygiene (thus the name) AKA Houseshitter because the coup de grace was to purposely shit all over my house when he was angry over not getting his way. He PASed out later that year entirely. Chef treated him like ROYALTY when he was over; bowing and scraping and generally playing butler to his ever more demanding youngest son.

ExSS16 is SSociopath because, well, he is one. I used to call him Sloth, but I felt it was cruel to sloths.

ExSS10 is Faux because he's not my SS. BM paraded him around as DH's kid for 9 years until it no longer suited her needs, then the truth came out that he's her current DH's kid. Lovely. Also, Faux sounds like for, and the little peckerhead definitely was the antagonist for a while.
