Daddy's Little Princess

I'm having a very hard time getting my head round the fact that my husband prefers to do housework himself than involve his only daughter. She has three brothers but he would rather wash used pots and pans, or carry out the trash and leave the kids to watch tv or stay in their rooms on their computers. I come from a background where everyone gets their hands dirty doing chores. I'm not here to change things overnight but I don't think I have to do ALL the work around the house, including cleaning up their mess, when I have four grown kids in the house. My husband says I should get them to do the work but I feel he just wants to remain the nice guy while the 'wicked stepmonther' dishes out the work, especially when it comes to the girl, who is 20 yrs old. The other day, I came home late to find she had left the kitchen in a mess after making pasta bake. I called her attention to it, trying hard to hide my irritation as I believe at her age she knows not to leave the kitchen the way she did. She promised to sort it out and I went to bed. The next morning, it was like a fairy had come round with a magic wand and done a fantastic job at cleaning the place. I later found that my husband had sneaked downstairs and cleaned up for his baby girl.

Whassup with that?!
