And talk about one of my favorite things. Bargain shopping!! Do any of you take bargain hunts serious!? I try. LOL. I have started watching QVC and they have some really good deals SOMETIMES. Sometimes they are really high though. We also have a really nice good will here. I have been to a few terrible ones, but this new one is amazing.

I also like WOOT.com (woot off is happening right now!! YAY) And groupon.com is my new favorite thing.

I bought a 2 hour brunch cruise for 64 dollars for 2 people! That is 32 dollars per person for a 2 hours yacht ride and very nice brunch and a few mimosas. I bought a set for DH and I and bought our best friends a set as a surprise. I am very excited!

Groupon is the bomb! Also try Eversave, Local Ginger and Buy With Me- they are similar to Groupon.

When I got home I actually said - I was sick of shopping.....LOL Something I never thought I would say.....Nice way to change the subject.......getting kind of heavy..........

YES! The free shipping that most on-line sites offer now is the bomb! I figure, why go to the crowded store only to find out they don't have what you want, when I can sit on my computer, and click a couple of keys and have it delivered right to my door for free?? Much easier to compare prices on-line too rather than run from store to store

Daizy I just love the shopping LOL I know maybe I'm weird but it's me. LOL LOVE LOVE the crowds and the shops and smells! Blum 3

Oh I love to shop... I just hate crowds and I royally despise standing in line...my mind starts churning about all the time I'm wasting, what I could be doing, what I should be doing, that the person behind me is standing wayyyy too close, that the person in front of me smells.... it's just not a good experience for me.. haha Wink

Well it's horribly overpriced, but I LOVE all the little kitchen trinkets at ModCloth (the clothing is hit or miss). I must have a bazillion salt and pepper shakers on my "to buy" list. Blum 3 And for anyone living under a rock who hasn't heard of Zappos--TRY IT! I love shoe reviews...

Will be checking out Woot very soon! Thank you Willow. Smile

I love the bargain. I shop thrift store a lot! The trick is to never buy unless it is new or like new and your know for a fact it will be used! I love ebay too, craigslist, yep got a new tv on there for almost 300 a big flat screen hdtv! Yeah buddy!

I wish it was bargin but my DH is addicted to ShopNBC and Invicta watches - he must own 20 plus of these things. It does make holidays & birthdays easy but I only buy when it's on value pay so they split the cost interest free for like 5 or 6 months.

OMG…yes Craig’s list. And their FREE section is awesome. It is mostly just junk that people want hauled off, but I have got a few great things from there. You just have to really be on top of it.

My daughter is going to be a school teach. Someone had 3 full boxes of teaching supplies for FREE! Also got a lot of wood free. It cut our cost down on my DH’s man cave by ½.

I also have gotten a few large bushes and a lot of landscape material. You just have to work at it. lol

Ooooh! I love thrift stores! There are some nice Goodwill stores in my area, and a really good Salvation Army. DH just loves when I get "play clothes" for him there. His job is dirty--so his "work clothes" get trashed out pretty fast. Play clothes are for everyday wear, and he's happy when it's stuff he doesn't have to be careful with. "Dress clothes" I'm gonna be all over him for spilling coffee on. But a pair of cargo pants from Goodwill. Whatev.....
For my own work clothes (I'm in sales, so I have to dress like a grown-up, but it's a creative sales position, more sales/design, so I've got quite a bit of leeway on what constitutes "grown-up"), I'm all about Marshall's! Got the cutest pair of Steve Madden boots there last week for $25!

I've found some great casual clothes, and a pair of brand-new hiking boots (we hike and geocache a LOT!!) for SD11 at thrift stores. DH loves that she's got appropriate hiking gear, warm enough clothing, etc., at our house. BM is also great about returning anything we particularly want to keep at our house (her hiking boots stay here, period!). DH has finally realize that cute boots for school, for example, SHOULD go to BM's, so SD can get the most wear out of them. Now that I'm thift storing for her too, he no longer has to worry that she'll have nothing to wear at our house...

LOVE thrift store shopping - and garage sales, although those are rare this time of year in the snow!!

I am a HUGE coupon person too. It is a rush for me to see how much I can get with how little. It's great to know that even if you have a financial crisis, you will still have toothpaste, shampoo, etc. etc. And it's also nice to be able to donate to local women's shelters etc. with the excess.

I also love to give a gift basket of these types of things to my DS and skids.

There's a particular website that is based out of the (northern) midwest that talks about what deals are available and where the coupons are. If anyone is interested, PM me and I will tell you the name of the site.

My FIL does that! LOl he has 10 units of his own stuff he has done that with. Fil and dh are hoarders. I like the bargain but if it is not going to used or needed and stored why get it?

Sam's Club is the best kept secret for very nice and unusual jewelry. They have a nice but not extensive selection of everything from Diamond Solitaires from anywhere from ~$500.00 to ~$20,000.00+, watches from ~$100.00 to ~$5,000.00, to rings, neclaces, earings, etc....

For cars I shop for last years models that have been at the new car dealerships for more than 400 days. I have gotten cars for as much as 60% of sticker doing this. Obviously you have to be flexible on model, color, options etc.... but you can save a ton of money.

I have had cars that were worth more in trade than what I paid for them when I drove them off of the lot. Of course I would have had to trade them at a different dealership but so what.

Every time my wife shops for clothes, etc .... she totals up how much she has saved off of retail. She usually does pretty well.

Though I have to say, the best way to save money is DON'T BUY ANYTHING!

I love yard sales too!!! And I am like you. No matter how good the deal...if I am not going to use it, I don't need it. My DH is a slight hoarder too. He has 500 types of screws in his garage. He has maybe used a few over ten years. But he would rather cut off his arm than get rid of something. I say if you are not going to use it in a year...out it goes. Trash or give away.
