Update to my last post- Teachers going on strike

Tommar was asking... Yes the teachers went on strike. This is day 2.

Its been a mess! Not enough subs. Combined classrooms. Fights at the H.S. Security guards patrolling the schools (during the weekend), subs falling asleep in the classrooms, a sub caught on camera flipping someone off.

Yes there is a pic of a sub in the vans (that they are bringing the subs in on) flipping off the picketers.

Did you decide to send your child or stay home?

I'm sorry there is so much turmoil. I hope it settles down fast.

I'm sorry you've been put in such a difficult position. I hope the regular teachers decide to go back or they reach an agreement so they can as soon as possible. This is exactly the reason I feel this kind of job shouldn't be allowed to have strikes. It's different when you are talking a regular business. Children should not be subject to this kind of situation and their education shouldn't be compromised. JMO.
