What are you getting YOUR mom for Mother's Day?

My mom lives out of town. I sent her a card and some lotto tickets ($26 worth) and she didnt win anything! Booooooo! She has everything (too much of everything) that she needs. She likes scratchies, so that was a good gift.

I also took a plant that we got from my Grandma's funeral (last year) and divided it up, so I can give her part of it. It grew bigger then expected, so I am very excited to give her part of it. She will be in my town end of May so I will also give her that.

I also got her this little glass dish to put keys, jewerly, etc in it. It says "To the most beautiful mom". I saw it at the Dollar Store and got that for her too.

My Mom mentioned she wanted the pink purse from the Target commercial. I bought her the one I think it is (with a gift receipt).

My StepMom is getting one of those things where they take fruit and make them look like flowers. We have an inside joke with those.

My mom passed away 3 yrs ago, the past couple of years I sent flowers to the cemetery but they told me they can only have them out there a day. Sooooo, I always donate some money in her name to a charity that I love.

I'm stressing about my Da right now. His 83rd birthday in next Thursday and I have no idea what to get him.

I was going to get her a hanging basket with flowers and maybe a gift card, but I'm not sure as to where.

The last time I spoke with my mother she told me she didn't have a daughter so I guess if I'm not her daughter, she's not my mother. I haven't had any kind of relationship with my parents for the last 20 years, pretty much when I left for college. My father was an alcoholic and my mother used to take his side against my brother and I. She never protected us from his violence. After a few years of therapy while in college I tried hard to maintain some kind of relationship with them but it was toxic. I just couldn't have them in my life. I can't say I won't think about my mother on Mother's Day but I will spend the day with my BS.

My mother died when I was 25.

For MIL, I told DH to grab her a card as we walked past them in the store 2 nights ago and he said 'Oh. I'll get one later this week.'

We have to mail it several states away. I'm not doing his dirty work anymore. She didn't raise me and I don't care for her so I guess nothing for MIL.

I will definitely go visit my paternal grandmother. She has a lot. Not sure what I'll get her.

I sent my mom a salami, cheese, specialty crackers and blood orange jalapeno jam from Williams and Sonoma.

Looks really delicious.
