SD to DH "We are leaving in 20 minutes.Its too cold in your house and you don't like our friends" The excuses are sad but funny.The truth is SD1 only came,for the first time in 6 months,because she needed to drop off her Christmas list,pick up Birthday money from Grandmother and try to get DH to let her take a car to drive. SD2 was only here because I over heard that their cable and internet were "broken". They also asked twice to go to the movies and the mall.Both denied.Car was denied and I am very proud of DH for not feeling "guilty daddy syndrome" I think he actually saw them for who they have really become. Grandmothers Birthday card only contained a very sweet message referencing how she misses seeing SD1 and hopes she will try to do a better job of staying in touch,CLASSIC!!!!!! Things didn't go their way so they left Friday afternoon. Thanksgiving was not our holiday this year and it isn't our weekend for SD to be here anyway. DH actually said to me after the front door closed "I am embarrassed admit they are my kids". HAPPY DANCE
