How do you handle the over use of things??
While I am happy that my skids and kids wash their hands and are fairly clean, I feel like they use way too much soap and stuff. I just got some really good hand soap from bath and body the other day (mistletoe kisses) I love that stuff. however I noticed that over the weekend it is already been quite used a lot and I am sad.
I was hoping it would last all month.
So how do you handle that stuff???

Yeah I know which is why i included my own son too. I guess i am jsut sad as I really wanted it to last all month. That was all. As I said I am happy they are washing thier hands and are fairly clean.
You can buy yourself the nice
You can buy yourself the nice soap and get them some less expensive soap if you want it to last
This bothers me too and it
This bothers me too and it really is kids and skids. Paper towels, conditioner, soap, as if it host nothing and grew on trees. I feel like I am always on them but it just kills me to see anyone use two paper towels to clean up a spill on the counter, when I have a sponge dedicated to that. I have threatened to make them buy it and see how careful they get if it's their money, but it's been an idle threat. Let me know if you come up with a solution for this kind of waste.
I'd put cheap stuff out on
I'd put cheap stuff out on the counter and put your good stuff in an easily reached cabinet, Kids are lazy they won't open a door to get to the good stuff. Most kids are wasteful it doesn't stop until they have to pay for stuff themselves and then they get stingy LOL
Friends of mine son used a
Friends of mine son used a whole tube of PRELL shampoo once while taking a bath, because he liked how many bubbles it made.
Needless to say, his mother wasn't very happy! Kids like to play, and they love pretty smelling bubbles.
Yep is does smell really nice
Yep is does smell really nice I bet that is part of it too. lol I might just go ahead and buy some cheap stuff and tell them it is their 'special' soap just for the boys!
Ok I hope I fixed it. i put
Ok I hope I fixed it. i put some inexpensive soap I had under the sink in my snowman soap dispenser and put a sign on him that says "please use me, I have soap in me and I need all boys to use my soap." lol Hope it works
Thanks my kids and skids are
Thanks my kids and skids are really good about listening to me and humor me on a lot of things. lol
They really are sweet like for christmas pics I always do a color theme and always different every year. It is to the point that ask what color this year. lol
I will also let them know to use it that it has soap in it now. this weekend ss16 went to wash his hands and tried to get soap out of him and I told him it was just for show so I'll have to back track that lol

Try using Irish Spring or some other smelly soap. I bet it'll last a loooonnnnngggg time! HA!
This is something which
This is something which drives me INSANE!!! Skids use everything like it's going out of fashion - food, toiletries, you name it, they consume a weeks worth in 1 day!! We're on a really tight budget and it makes me angry that they're so wasteful and careless. I only ever get them cheap stuff, I NEVER put decent stuff out where they can waste it - all the best stuff for me and DH is hidden where they can't get their dirty little hands on it. I keep telling DH he has to police them and stop them being so wasteful, but it's like talking to the wall!!! GRRRR
If you have Dollar Tree in
If you have Dollar Tree in your area or some other similar discount store, there seem to be TONS of cheap-ass but higher-end looking hand soaps and the like out there. If you are used to the better stuff you can totally tell the difference in smell (the cheap stuff is like... what? sour or too perfumey or something) and effectiveness, but I betchya the kids can't!
I do this for my skids. Luckily they have their own bathroom so don't get into my better stuff, and are fooled by the dollar store brands, as long as they have a boutiquey fragrance like "pomegranate acai". }:)

My suggestion is.. keep a spare bottle of your preferred soap... mix with water they wont know the difference and it still cleans the hands just as efficiently.. in my opinion *speaking from experience when i was too broke to buy extra hand soap* or doing the cheaper "special boys soap" WITHOUT having your expensive soap around. I suggest if kids love bubbles... to buy bubbly stuff for the bath and fill a small bottle of the stuff... that way they can use the amount you want and play with the bottle during bath time
