With a few posts about marriage this morning, just thought I'd share. We've discussed this before many times, but it was different to hear the perspective on the radio while I was driving to work. Some interesting responses.

It's the patriarchal society vs the matriarchal society.

In some cultures, the woman's name is carried on.

And besides, how many of us know men who would have the patience to do EVERYTHING that needed to be done to change names.... at the time of marriage, OR at the time of divorce.
