My DSS is an attention whore too!!! He makes things up to get attention...like, he tells his friends and my kids that he's in the "Bloods" and wears red bandanas. He grew up in an upper middle class rural community, and has never been in a fight in his entire life!!! Truth be told, if I dropped him off in the projects, he would litterally shit his pants!!!

He told his father and I that he made the honor roll in his senior year, but yet his BM told us he graduated by the skin of his teeth!!!

I don't get it either!!!

Let me say that I feel your pain. My SS has postings on the internet that would make your skin crawl. He's a fan of a subculture that frankly is so creepy and disgusting that I won't name it.
I don't for the life of me understand how a kid who had an easy life with everything he ever needed or wanted has to turn to such stupid and distateful things for entertainment.
I hope it's not a statement about how this youngest generation has degenerated, but I'm afraid it is widespread. "Kids these days...." wow, I feel old. LOL.

Uptohere....I know EXACTLY how you feel!!! My ss has had everything handed to him by BM....she still pays for everything for him...and he's 19!!! He was pissed at my BD cuz he asked her who pays for her phone, and she said we do...(25 a month and it's a prepaid and she has certain household chores that we have her do in order to EARN it) because mommy supposedly makes him pay for his own phone now....I am sure he went home and cried to BM about it....

I asked my friend (who manages a fast food restaurant) to hire SS when he was 16 as BM called me to ask if I knew of anywhere that was hiring in our town...they lived 20 minutes away. So, I did so, reluctantly!! Low and behold he came over one day saying that there was a kid there that was picking on him and the kid wanted to beat him up. I asked who the kid was...and come to find out...it was a kid I've known for a long time, who is one of the nicest kids I've ever met in my life...he's respectful to everyone, everyone he knows likes him. So BM called me up to ask if I could talk to my friend about the bullying issue. When I did, she told me that NO ONE liked SS and that he was the one starting the trouble, calling this kid a faggot and telling him he was going to kick his ass!! This prompted two other boys at the store to come to the nice kid's defense. Mind you, I have NEVER uttered one bad word about SS to my friend, all she ever knew was that I had a SS...nothing more. So, I emailed BM to let her know what I found out....she said she would talk to SS when he got home from school...I got an email from her the next day saying that SS told her that what I said was not true and he was just defending himself and she didn't have a problem with him defending himself against these horrible bullies!!! ARE YOU F**king kidding me??!!! DH brushed the whole thing off when I told him SS was the one starting shit.

He was always more mouthy w/ DH than me because they both grew up in the same sleepy, pansy ass New England town and I grew up in a tough, hardscrabble area. (Think the opening credits of "The Sopranos before he gets to his neighborhood). Hey at least he had good self preservation instincts! He too has had the most ridiculous pictures on the internet, really cringe-worthy. And of course DH thought it was "funny". Whatever.
