Ungratefullness

There is discord in our usually happy home. I mentioned earlier how my auntinlaw did not want to visit because of the skids, which upset my MIL. She came down to visit after they went back to school, and we went over for dinner. I warned the skids to be on their best behavior. They did well until it was time to leave then SD12 got an attitude and pushed past DH and started stomping off. I grabbed her arm as she stormed past me to tell her to cool it and she wheeled on me and started to hit me. I stopped her then DH stepped in and pulled her off me and restrained her while she's screaming this whole time about how much she hates me, etc etc.

We rode home in different vehicles, SS17 and DH in one, me and the SDs and babies in the other. SS17 yelled at her for 30 minutes about respect, etc etc. DH had decided to send her home. SD12 is not his kid. The next day, I asked him to let her stay til the end of school and he agreed. I warned him that I would not be able to continue to be the mother figure I had been. I won't drive her anywhere, etc.

Now he doesn't want to send her back. Her BM told her at Xmas (first time she's called in 4 months) that she didn't want her back. So he's using that as an excuse for her behavior. She was suspended prior to the phone call for hitting a boy for calling her a dyke, and she just got suspended again for hitting a boy cause he called her fat. I don't want this violent child in our home, but DH is being stubborn.

I can understand why he's taking on a child not his own. He's adopted, and gave his parents hell when he was a teen. I'm frustrated. I'm 24, how can I raise a kid 12 yrs younger that I'm afraid of?
