Freakin....ridiculous....

So, DH has certain rules and chores that are divyed up between the three kids. No problem right? Well, its all great except when my kids dont do their chores with 100% effort, etc. Here's the latest example of his son getting away with half-a$$ing something.... Thursday is trash day, so BS10 has to take our two LARGE trash cans out to the street either Weds night or Thurs morning. SS12 is with his BM on Weds night, so he brings the trash cans back in after school on Thursday evenings.

When I brought him home yesterday he made a comment about how some of the BBQ trash (we had a Mem Day BBQ Monday) had spilled out of the can when the automatic machine came to empty the can. His exact words were, "Wow! Some of the trash is on the steet."

So, I had to work late last night and didn't get home til 9pm. It was dark....this morning I look out there and he brought the trash cans back in, but left ALL the bones, plastic cups, etc. in the street. I KNOW my DH will be angry about it, but he wont do or say anything about it to his son because he wont be home til 8/9pm from work (he is a UPS driver). So, I am the one who will tell SS12 that he needs to clean the trash out of the street. And this will only add fuel to SS12's firm belief that I am unfair to him and treat him badly. But,I mean seriously?!?!? Bones in the street in front of my house?!?!?! The neighbors probably think we are the laziest people on the street!

Sounds like my skids, they would have done the same thing AND heaven forbid if I were to say something about it, DH would come up with 400 excuses to excuse it and he'd just do it himself.

Oh, they are just kids
Oh, they probably didn't see them
Oh, they were probably grossed out
Oh, they were probably in a hurry to do more of the NOTHING that they are so busy doing
Oh, maybe they need glasses
Oh, they probably have ADD
Oh, BM told them not to
Oh, you're just being a bitch
Oh, pigs were flying and distracted them

I won't bore you with all 400 excuses....

TBH, My BS10 also halfa$$es everything. But, when I tell him to go back and do it again, I dont get that "I wish you would crawl in a hole and DIE look!" And my BS10 certainly doesn't constantly "snitch" to DH about how unfair I was to him. SS12 has been such a liar and manipulator I just can't deal with him anymore...and guess what school is out today?!?!?! So now we have him the ENTIRE month of June...Dear Lord, help me!!!

SS12 actually told my BS10 2 yrs ago that he needed to stop lying to himself about how wonderful his mother (me) was. He told him that I was an alcoholic and told him "did you see all that alcohol in the cabinet over the sink?" What he didn't realize was that was DH's alcohol, it just had previously been dispersed in multiple cabinets before we moved in the house, I simply formed a liquor cabinet. And let me tell you the thick layer of dust on those bottles, because they were all XMAS presents to my DH from work and he doesn't drink it. I actually heard SS telling my BS all this CRAP through the door! Let me tell you, I slammed that door wide open and let it be known that he was wrong for telling my son that crap!
